Edited by Balmung03: 3/4/2015 5:48:49 PMSiege Breakers isn't a bad idea, but IMO the AoE for fist of havoc if anything should be dialed down; either in overall size of the area that gets affected, how high the damage goes vertically, or how it seemingly goes around obstacles to deal damage to guardians around corners or in hiding, when the blast radius of a rocket launcher does not. That, and I think the attribute bonus is a bit high on intellect if you're also giving a +50 buff to strength; looks well beyond any other titan exotic in attribute bonuses. And titans already have a way to blind (flashbang for striker, helm of saint for defender) that I think the blinding ability goes too far on your other one. I understand both this and helm of saint are exotics, but allowing the additional ability for strikers to blind would throw some balance off IMO. Initial ability could be a melee cooldown on picking up a super orb, or perhaps allow a second charge to both melee abilities like the Claws of Akamhara do for the warlock.

Edited by ZIPPY G00SE: 3/4/2015 5:58:10 PMI'd disagree not as hate just saying but the AoE should be buffed it's nothing compared to the nova bomb or golden gun it's an extremely high risk ability so many times I've totally missed or only managed to get one kill when I aimed for three. I wouldn't give it a massive AoE buff just maybe a metre and its a total area affect so also above the titan. Okay so intellect say 75 and strength 30. Again fist of havoc is probably the worst of all supers thats my opinion tho :-) The other set, the blinding I'd like because the helm of saint 14 is an helmet exotic and blindness is triggered when foes enter the ward of dawn it would be good to have a decent set of gauntlets for the titan. Because as far as I remember no backup plans is based for the defender titan. And it's a low chance and not as devastating as blinding grenades.

Edited by Balmung03: 3/4/2015 6:23:00 PMI only say the fist of havoc should be toned down due to my experience seeing it; it almost appears as if the host-lag or whatever way they calculate the damage is the cause of my death (I have a video showcasing the weird way it deals damage around corners, lemme link it at the bottom once the upload finishes) moreso than the titan using it effectively. It's funny how most titans use their fist of havoc as a method of not dying and only killing 1 player with it instead of using it wisely; panic button indeed. For the attributes, I'd say 70-80 intellect and 35-45 strength sounds about right compared to the other ones (intellect is a more choice attribute, so it seems to be kept low on a lot of mixed-attribute exotics). Considering your point on needing to enter the ward of dawn to proc the blindness, I understand your viewpoint; in PvE it sounds like it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but being able to blind human players is something I get a bit skittish about, especially since the titan is the ONLY class able to blind in PvP. The flashbang grenade is lower in damage to make up for the blind effect, and you can only use it as quickly as your discipline or abilities let you recharge. Proccing a potential blind on every melee seems a bit too powerful, and most of the time your charged melees are kill-hits and thus would negate the blindness effect. But I could definitely see people taking advantage of the knockback effect for some cool things; imagine running those and using a Monte Carlo for melee cooldown, plus ward of dawn w/ armor or blessing. (shudder) Link for fist of havoc video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z3JD4UmD1-k If you look at where his body is at the origin point of his super's damage (easy to see since his body is outlined on my death-screen), the damage must have gotten to me either by going around the open door which defies all rational thought of how damage is dealt otherwise in this game, or due to lag I must have been considered standing in front of the open door when I died (which confuses me based on where my dead ghost is). But given my critique (I over-analyze a lot), those are still two good ideas that part of me wants to see fleshed out.

Edited by ZIPPY G00SE: 3/4/2015 6:41:17 PMI understand your point I do but, as a avid titan player I've based this gear off the things that annoy me. And as for the other set the blinding affect would be instant in pvp just to simply shock players it's a very very low chance. Plus fist of havoc only goes through very thin walls and obstacles, I at least think it does.

As the titan is the only class I just don't feel right playing in crucible, I'm probably more critical of it. But the blind ability on melee attacks means you've just blinded someone who knows you pretty much have to be right next to him. Unless you got the drop on him, he's most likely going to mash his own melee button, and, 9 times out of 10, will likely hit you anyway. It might not kill you, but in a lot of circumstances the blindness won't hinder them as much as you probably intended with the idea. If this does happen though, my suggestion after melees that potentially blind would be to jump straight up.

Maybe the blindness is a bad idea but it it worked with the knock back it would hinder them, plus it'll be better in pve against oncoming enemies.

Edited by Balmung03: 3/4/2015 7:00:26 PMIt would definitely work in PvE (although methinks decisions 'round here are made more to appease the PvP crowd), and I hadn't considered both abilities proccing- but it's certainly not a bad idea. I just dislike the idea of blinding me since it almost completely negates any skill the enemy may have; most of the time, if I get the upper hand and die it's because I was outperformed or outwitted by my enemy, instead of just being rendered virtually helpless at all but spitting range (barring a really lucky shot). Being blinded by the flashbang either takes some effort in its use and placement, or the victim at least sees the grenade or indicator and knows shit's about to go down (not necessarily knowing he'll be blinded, but at least he's conscious of enemy danger). Seeing a bubble and a guy inside it with helm of saint, you pretty much have to make the decision to willingly blind yourself for a chance at the kill (and tbh, I wish the titan had to be inside the bubble when an enemy enters for the effect to trigger). And I know you haven't shown any sign that you take my comments as anything but constructive criticism, since we've gone back and forth with comments now I just want to make sure I say that I'm only giving an honest critique, and in no way intend it to be offensive. I myself love to come up with ideas like these, and sometimes I get as involved with analyzing someone else's idea as I do my own.
