They shine slightly as well* So...these can deflect magic potencys and absorb some of magic as well. Allowing you to become more powerful with more defensive spell work. But you will still take damage if it is a powerful enough spell. Arrows can still breach it but they will never go deep unless it is a strong enough bow. I know it may seem lame. But I had to make it fair. If you are in combat and you literally can't take damage then it would render they battle obsolete. Use them well.
