A good way to lose your reload habit is to play borderlands and use Tediore weapons. That'll make you stop.

I actually enjoyed throwing my weapons at enemies to explode them in Borderlands 2. It was like have dozens of grenades. Just reload and *boom* explosion! Thanks for the suggestion though.
