A.I. Tactical Advisor: Cabal

Anybody who played one of the previous Bungie titles might remember so clever A.I. bastards (what was the A again?) and If you have not, well there are surely some other games where npcs simulate some degree of tactical prowess, group behaviour and fear. Like in Halo officers would order enlists to take cover or use grenades which they did. Killing an officer would lead to grunts falling to panic or committing suicide. Now to Destiny: For now I stick with the Cabal because those are what bugs me the most. They are supposed to be a very successful military empire, but they never apply any tactic other than somewhat taking turns in getting shot in the head. My suggestion: Add some character to those guys. Everything that's needed is already in the game. - Shield bearer should form actual lines, shoulder to shoulder, moving in unison and trying to keep the formation pointed towards the greatest threat. - Collosus stationed at the flanks of the phalanx the protect the weak sides. (feel the fear rising in your heart?) - to harden the flanks major phalanx warriors should take the outer positions - while the phalanx keeps the attacker busy small groups of legionnaires lead by centurions, major legionnaires or accompanied psions try to flank the target, running or jumping from cover to cover, keeping a distance and not splitting up for no reason (scattering to evade grenades is right, but loners jumping in to get killed is very wrong) - Command of the entire battle group has a major centurion stationed behind the phalanx accompanied be to normal centurions or psions of any kind. Obviously that's a tactic for open areas (Mars has a lot of them). Indoor environments require different approaches, but modified versions with smaller groups would still work in some cases. - A phalanx (formation not individual) or a collosus could still lock down passages while other troops try to flank. - One or two shield bearer could cover a small group of legionnaires (at least one of them should carry a projection rifle) or psions when they walk down hallways or storm rooms. Does that sound better then endlessly killing mindless drones, that look different but all equally ask for a shot in the face (except for Vex who are lucky enough not to die in horrible pain from a stomach wound). If you like my ideas and have some of your own go ahead and write the down. I would like to read them and Bungie claims to read them to.
