The funny thing is in an interview at one of the developer conferences one of the top guys said they intended for players to purchase their gear and instead the player base latched on to the rng. So it would seem that everyone who is purchasing their gear are playing the game as intended and all those who are claiming their drops are the true way to "earn" items were in fact scrubs who were so bad at thr game that they needed handouts.
