Just Plain Wrong #Bungie
Lvl 31 Warlock. After almost 175 hrs of gameplay (a lot for me), last night around 1045 PM CST I finally got a 6 man team to run Crotas End on Hard Mode! Was excited as hell! Time to get my ass kicked, but earn rewards for enduring the ass kicking. The leader of the mission was happy to know the other 5 of us had some goodies coming....and then it happened. We reach the first bridge and everyone is waiting to see what pops up and guess what...nothing for me. What do I get? I get radiant shards. No weapons. No gear. Nothing. So I figure, hey, there's another drop after the second part, so I'm cool. NOT. Second part completes and what do I get? Radiant energy. Now I'm super pissed. It got so late in the night (almost 3am EST) before we could fully compete the mission, so we stopped, but it didn't matter. I was already disconnected from the game knowing I was jerked and wasted my time. I'm sent to bed with nothing but that empty feeling when you know you just got ripped off for all the time you just spent KNOWING you'd get rewarded for your gameplay, but instead get robbed. Hard Mode says you get weapons for completing stages, so what the hell Bungie? That was super wack. IJS, that's complete BS and it should be fixed. Everyone that braves to play it on hard should be GUARANTEED something. Oh well, they don't read these anyway, so it doesn't matter, but I needed to vent anyway.
EDIT: This post is ancient fellas. Not sure why it keeps popping up. I've since gotten drops on Crota, Atheon, Crucible, Nightfall, etc. I'm enjoying the game and so should you Guardian.

It is stupid. But at least you didn't have to deal with the vog drop rates. I'd say i ran it 4 or 5 times and got nothing but shards, energies, and the damn chatterwhite. Just keep trying. Hell, if you're good enough you can solo the first part no problem

I had the same problem, got to crota and team disbands, I got no gear from the other parts

I soloed the whole Raid on Normal and got nothing but materials. Then, after my first 3 Crota's End completions, I got 1 or 2 items every time. I recommend doing it on Normal then Hard instead of only doing Hard because after you do Normal, you can think "hey, I'm doing it again right after this." It helps.

Just be patient with it. It took forever for me to get one last piece of armor for my warlock. It also took so long to get both the Fang of Ir Yut and Word of Crota. This game just takes time and if ur not lucky one week, you have to try next week

3 RepliesYou'll get there. I have all the armour (multiple sets) and pretty much all the guns(still chasing the black hammer). Dismantled what must have been my 10th abyss defiant tonight. You will have runs where you get just shards or energy - but that won't happen every time. Just keep running it. The stuff will drop eventually. Word of advice if you can run normal then hard with crota. You might get double drops on hard but different weapons drop on each mode.

Yes usually armor drops are first then weapon drops at crota Which is why so many people ONLY do the end part of the raid. Now everyone pauses exits out returns with the their alternate character the pick up the check point and then when all three have the check point they finish the raid Tedious but for most people they only need specific weapons so there is no point in doing the raids only the end points

Ya thats normaly what you get raid armor and guns are not a common give out ive only gotten three guns and one armor running it with two characters every week but its worth it

Rarely do you get anything other than shards or energy. I do believe that if you got super awesome stuff from the first run you would probably not need to play as much, and that is the opposite of what Bungy wants. Shitty drops means more player time, Bungy wins.
