So Bloodborne obviously isn't out yet but this feed can be for after it comes out and/or before it's out.
This post is for people like myself who are curious about the lore and some ideas that many of the souls fans have about what is going on.
Use this post to talk about Bloodborne and the backstory aswell as some things you will hope to see and/or think they're gonna put in the game!
I'm too hyped for this game! It looks great!
[Edit 1:] So to my knowledge you're some sort of Hunter who has come to the "cursed" city of Yharnam at the same night that "the hunt" is taking place.. Not sure what the hunt is but it seems interesting.. Apparently you have done something wrong because the enemies have chances to say things like "it's all your fault" and things like that.
If anybody has anything else to mention or correct me on go ahead and leave some posts about some more lore!
PRAISE THE HUNT!! \[T]/

Some bits of info (conjecture): "Yharnam is the city of blood ministration." Blood seems deeply engrained in Yharnam culture, possibly due to their pioneering and marketing of blood transfusion. As the game introduction suggests, possessing the blood of a Yharnam citizen, by birth or transfusion, may be necessary for citizenship or even entry in Yharnam. It also appears to have religious significance. "The blood makes us human, makes us more than human, makes us human no more." The "plague of beasts," which seems to cause uncontrollable aggression and later, rapid and dramatic mutation, seems to be a bloodborne disease and does not appear human-specific. It seems unclear how long the plague has been endemic to Yharnam, but it is reasonable to suggest that the city's blood trade has facilitated its spread. The ritualistic connotations of "The Great Hunt" suggests that the plague has had multiple periods of resurgence in the city. The plague also seems to have religious significance, as its transformative symptoms may encourage narratives of transcendence. Hunters appear to be partially immune to the plague. When a boss is defeated the victory title mentions "blood transfusion." Infected blood may in fact strengthen hunters. As one of the trailers suggests, this immunity may be only temporary, or may be obtained artificially, as a hunter is depicted succumbing to the disease.

Edited by GhosterStrudel: 3/9/2015 6:46:49 AMFunny enough one of the things that peaked my interest in the trailer was pretty subtle: THE GIANT LINGERING SPIDER I wanna know more about it for some odd reason. Maybe because it's the size of a tower?

Is this officially tied in to DS lore or separate?
-
Looks amazing! I got the collector's strategy guide just so I could have it for the art and lore purposes because let's be honest the mechanics are going to change down the line and guide will be useless for that part.
