Stormcloaks vs. Imperials

Well? Who's better and why? I like the Stormcloaks better, IMO.

  • Stormcloaks unless you're a fan of being the bad guy in games. People always go 'oh Stormcloaks are so racist!' ... No. No, that's only what you'd think if you don't actually know the issue. Stormcloaks distrust other races because the Elves slaughtered their people and put them under their thumb for many years. Other races have been used as spies for these Elves, which is why the Stormcloaks generally cannot trust these races. I'd hate other people too if they put their effort towards controlling me and killing my loved ones. HOWEVER. The Stormcloaks DO tolerate these races. If you go to any Imperial city, you know what you'll find? REAL racism and discrimination. Not allowing certain races in the cities. Executing people that have differing opinions. You know there are only two Khajiit in cities in Skyrim, and both are living, with jobs, in Stormcloak controlled cities. Riften and Winterhold. Stormcloaks also tolerate those with differing opinions, even if they don't like it. What do you find in Imperial cities? People being jailed or executed for their beliefs. How the hell is that just? How can any right minded, good person support that? Then you get the 'oh Ulfric just wants power' people. ... That's ridiculous. Ulfric was imprisoned by the Elves. When he got out the Elves did want him to rebel, it is true. However, it is ridiculous to state that just because the elves wanted it it means his cause is not just. Ulfric wants freedom for his people, and freedom for religion. He saved a city on the promise of giving them free religion. He didn't get power out of that- he got freedom. It was only after the Empire lied to him and betrayed him that he realized he had to be in control, as a rallying point, or else the Empire would forever get away with their travesties.
