I still remember fighting Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid 1. He would read all your moves before you did them and was literally impossible to beat. He would also talk to you about the games that you had already played by reading your memory card (this was super trippy). The only way to beat him was to unplug your controller and plug it into port two so he couldn't read you moves anymore. It took me and my buddy days to figure it out... This was before Google too, so you couldn't just look it up.

Bosses from Ninja Gaiden Black on Master Ninja.. That's the hardest hack and slash game I've ever played.

Only a mini-boss, but if you're only using the Master Sword/Hylian Shield combo, Dark Link is ridiculously hard to beat on OoT.

Lud, and Zallen, The Kings Pets Dark Souls 2 Ivory King DLC The fight itself is basically Ornstein and Smough 2.0 but with giant saber tooth tigers and there's also the suicide gauntlet before reaching the boss room and no bonfires so yeah Finally beat those two assholes today.

Edited by xRADIOACT1V3x: 3/8/2015 3:38:24 PMEvery single boss in Kingdom hearts dream drop distance 3DS. I will always use this as my answer to this question. No other game has caused me so much frustration in boss fights. Not because of death. But because SOME MORON decided to set the switch timer to continue during boss fights. And you bet your ass that the second you get that boss to 1 health and you see the 30 second timer appear that says your gonna be switched to riku or sora when it ends, that boss is gonna shield himself or do something that prevents him from getting damage for that entire 30 seconds. "Oh sorry about that, here just switch back and OH look at that the boss has full health now, we also didn't restore any items you used before. Have fun!" EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
i would not handle dark souls well...
I kept -blam!-ing up on the final colossi of SoTC. Not necessarily hard but time consuming.

Me when I'm playing Evolve as the monster.

Atheon from Destiny is definitely the hardest boss I've ever beaten. If you're not talking Destiny then probably Radec from Killzone on Elite difficulty.
