Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

1 ReplyI was actually just talking to a friend about this just a few days ago. My friend and I found an amazingly great group of guys who are family and friends who consistently play with each other and in a family-friendly environment even (regarding language). Now for me, it wasn't a big deal to adjust despite i can could put a sailor to shame when it comes to rage-swearing lol. Any way my point is that in this group, there was 1 kid, maybe 2, present that night and they were able to hold their own during our 33 crota run. Everyone got along, communicated what they needed to, and no complaints were made. Seeing as how this is a video game, a social one at that, age SHOULDN'T be a factor so long as they can pull their weight. I realize this could easily fall under 'a perfect world' scenario for some or many and maybe I just got lucky with being invited to play with these guys, but in the end the game is about teamwork and cooperation, not discrimination.

Its alright most the people doing that have a very low I.Q. The 1 out of 15 that understand you are just other rare mammals with brains which nowadays we reffer to as humans. Don't ask me what the other 14 people are cause they have no backbones so you can't rlly be human.

I have two friends of mines on psn that are 13 and 14. Both of them really chill guys. Here's some things to NOT do. -over talk. No one likes anyone wether your a kid or adult over talking. Talk when you feel is needed. Sometimes here and there bring up small talk. -never play music over he mic. Just..don't. We know your music is great and all but music over the mic doesn't sound good. - don't scream over the mic. I think that's self explanatory. This goes to everyone. And also keep in mind that adults would rather play with adults, teens would rather play with teens and kids would rather play with kids. Your in that stage of teen and kid. Just try to find some people your age :D

1 ReplyThe only people who call you squeakers would be people that are 15 to 23ish or a butthole thats your age. Most adults couldnt care less unless the younger gamer in question is aggravating them to the extreme.

Most people are badass only because they behind a monitor. Use their hate to make yourself understand they don't deserve to be playing with you. This Goes with real life as well. You can give to others only what You know. People give hate because they have got nothing but that to give.

It's the internet, douche bags are gonna be douche bags. Don't let some asshole on the internet get in your head. All you can do is be respectful and treat others as you want to be treated. Just by posting this thread you are clearly more mature than the other teenagers talking shit to you. Remember that and don't swoop to that level because making fun of people is never cool. And just remember that if somebody is trying to bully someone else, chances are they have some issues of their own they're trying to hide. Anyways, you can always find another group of people to play with haha. Have fun! I know I will, as soon as I get home damnit...

I don't see the big deal, they seem alright to me. Never once have I played with an immature kid. Usually they are better than me because they are young and have fast reflexes. I think men who play child games then make fun of the kids are the real losers. Live and let live, we were all young playing video games once.

I know a few younger players that are not annoying, and they are quite skillful at the game. I think the term squeaker should refer only to kids who are jerks and act like they are really good but suck.

But I find that older kids (such as 12-15) are a lot less annoying then 11-7 year olds. Im 33 and the crew I play with is all over 18. It feels just plain weird playing with anyone under 18. I mean, I wouldnt be hanging out with any 13 year olds in real life. I think they have laws against that type of thing, lol.

4 RepliesI don't hate kids, I definitely don't like them but I've met some chill kids and some annoying kids (same as 'adults') playing this game. I would just prefer to not play with children because there is literally nothing for me to talk about with them. I'm too old to have anything in common with them and part of the fun in playing multi-player games online is making new friends and talking about common interests. Plus, I curse like a sailor and I don't feel compelled in any way to censor myself, so it's just better for everyone involved if I don't play with kids or keep everything muted when I do.
