Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

I played with a kid last night, and he was cool, ya know why? Calmy communicating not yelling his high voice into the mic "omg omg get em, give me that, blah blah blah." It all comes down to a persons maturity and if they are "respectful"

People don't mind kids playing on Destiny as long as they're not seen as kids. Nobody really knows or cares until they use a mic. Of course you can have the voice of Christopher Lee and be 14 and no one would know the difference. Reason why it seems to urk people when they hear a "squeaker" is because well, it's annoying to hear sorry to say lol I don't have an issue but the thought of "this kid sounds like they are [i]drastically[/i] under 18, and they're playing a rated M game" always comes up. More in the reason of "I wonder how they got the copy lol". Everybody thinks high pitch / helium voices are amusing at times, but nobody likes its blasting into your headset

1 ReplyFor me It's not the tone of the voice, it's over hyperactive screams and when they gradually get louder trying to speak over each over, they lose focus because they start talking bout random stuff. I don't raid with kids for these reasons.

There's a reason there's a T on the box. Also online interactions aren't rated at all because of your exact situation. Parents buy their kids this shit when they can't handle it and then they complain non stop. Been happening forever and won't stop until parents start telling their spoiled brats no.

As an adult, I don't want to socialize with children. I'm not here to teach other people's kids how to behave online. I'm not going to sugar coat the truth for them, either. Justifying the ratings argument with people knowingly going against guidelines is ridiculous. The rating is also only for the game and it's content; not any online features or interactions. Kids and online games just don't mix.

Honestly, any game that has an online multiplayer experience should require an 18 and over tag. The reason is that Internet is NOT a nice place and if you can't handle that, then you probably aren't mature enough to be playing it. Good luck to ya but know that if you think online communities are bad, get ready for the real world

1 ReplyI for one dislike playing with kids for one reason and that is I'm almost 30 and I like to swear and tell dirty jokes with my friends and talk about adult subject matter and frankly I don't feel comfortable being around squirts and having to watch my mouth and what I say when there's kids around. I play this game to relax and have a good time not to be around children.

I dont hang out with kids in real life so why would I want to online in a video game? Find people your own age to play with If you don't like how your being treated by people older than you.

Honestly I'd help if you were on ps4. But my issue isn't age so much as 2 things: 1.) If you're a good player. You don't rage and don't make unneeded comments. 2.) Younger voices make me uncomfortable on the mic. It just feels weird

Hi my gamer tag on Xbox is ShadowStrike 70 I'm young to and frequently get kicked because people think I'm a "squeaker" which I don't yell about a exotic or anything like that...I'm so happy that someone like you is standing up for people like me and younger kids so thanks! 😊

In my opinion..kids and squeaker are different things in this game. To me a kid is anyone in their teens or younger. A squeaker (usually kids but not always) is someone with an annoying voice who never shuts up (tone deaf singing, raid monologue, unnecessary never ending insults, etc). Some kids that play kick quite a bit of ass, most squeakers suck thrall balls. Story time I was Invited into a PoE because a friend had to bail. So me and this kid my friend was helping and a random, after a bit the random was tired of dying and left, but the kid managed to replace him with another kid. So me, kid 1(the one my friend was helping) and kid 2 (the replacement) finished this bit of PoE without to much of a hitch and as were about to go our separate ways kid 2asks if we want to do CE(hard or easy he didn't care) since neither of us had done it we accepted. In CE, I get juggled into death in the abyss, kid 1 gets lost and dies, kid 2 keeps going and finishes it, bridge finished no problem, death singer kid 2 invites another friend and we finished that , onto crota kid 2 invites another so 5 of us no problems. Judging by voices I honestly wouldn't put any of them past 15. But the whole time even with stupid mistakes and needless deaths, no insults no annoying banter. Tl;Dr Most kids kick ass, squeakers regardless of age suck thrall balls

To me, squeakers are loud annoying brats who scream into the microphone and ride on the backs of more experienced players ALL WHILE BITCHING THE ENTIRE TIME. You are not a squeaker. You're a young gamer. Age does not determine whether one is a squeaker or not, it's what's in your heart that matters.

I only make fun of squeakers if they say something stupid, rude and especially if they lie about something which seems to be about 90% of the time

Helpful advice to you mice out there - don't -blam!-ing talk non-stop. That's the main issue with squeakers, they always talk way too much and want to tell everyone about their rewards.
