Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

Helpful advice to you mice out there - don't -blam!-ing talk non-stop. That's the main issue with squeakers, they always talk way too much and want to tell everyone about their rewards.

I really don't care about people's voices unless they're intentionally obnoxious or yelling so I'm fine with any age group as long as they act mature

Then those jerk wads are stupid. A squeaker is a player who (more often than not) young, has a high voice and talks incessantly. The important part is that they are annoying with a loud voice. There is a difference between a child playing a video game and an annoying child playing a videogame.

I don't mind too much if the kid has respect. If they are like most other kids and think they are the best and smartest Destiny players around then yes we will have a problem.

In my opinion..kids and squeaker are different things in this game. To me a kid is anyone in their teens or younger. A squeaker (usually kids but not always) is someone with an annoying voice who never shuts up (tone deaf singing, raid monologue, unnecessary never ending insults, etc). Some kids that play kick quite a bit of ass, most squeakers suck thrall balls. Story time I was Invited into a PoE because a friend had to bail. So me and this kid my friend was helping and a random, after a bit the random was tired of dying and left, but the kid managed to replace him with another kid. So me, kid 1(the one my friend was helping) and kid 2 (the replacement) finished this bit of PoE without to much of a hitch and as were about to go our separate ways kid 2asks if we want to do CE(hard or easy he didn't care) since neither of us had done it we accepted. In CE, I get juggled into death in the abyss, kid 1 gets lost and dies, kid 2 keeps going and finishes it, bridge finished no problem, death singer kid 2 invites another friend and we finished that , onto crota kid 2 invites another so 5 of us no problems. Judging by voices I honestly wouldn't put any of them past 15. But the whole time even with stupid mistakes and needless deaths, no insults no annoying banter. Tl;Dr Most kids kick ass, squeakers regardless of age suck thrall balls

Those people don't understand the word then. Squeakers are kids that are annoying, like the ones that don't shut up or blame everything on everyone else. There's just so any of them that people forget that a few kids are nice. As long as you're not annoying, I have no problem with you.

i mean as long as they arent close minded and disrespectful i dont mind playing with anyone but if you're going to be an asshole to your parents over the mic or tell your kids youre too busy to deal with them. i dont see any reason why anyone of any age should be disrespected for playing video games

I don't hate squeakers myself, it's just that if someone is a squeaker, then it usually means they aren't the best team members. Usually, I meet squeakers by walking around in the tower, and seeing my level 34 rank they ask me to do Trials. I kindly deny, as I'm not playing with someone using Vestian Dynasty, an unupgraded TLW, and an unupgraded Wolves Bane. Just saying.

I play Destiny after my own kids are in bed. Nothing personal but I just prefer to play with adults.

I don't mind the younger crowd, but when I did a skolas run the other day I had an issue with one. We were on the 4th wave and I was on top of the ledge at left platform and he accidentally pushed me off, leaving me trapped between a rock and the wall and wrecked by wire rifles, servitors and shrapnel launchers. I died instantly. Not too bad, I was incredibly annoyed by how careless it was on his part but it was an accident; until he started t-bagging me. It took everything in me not to kick him, but I didn't. At skolas, he kept dying when he was the one who should of been taking the essence and bailed after a couple runs. We got a different clanmate in there and finished it first try. Not too pleased with him to say the least, but he was one guy and there are other younger kids that do fine

I don't discriminate when it comes to playing, but I can't help if a squeaky voice is annoying to me. At the same time it is no ones place to say who can and cannot play this game. I would play with any civil non-annoying player. Who at least tried to be good. Unfortunately the few times I've tried to play with younger kids I just get a constant shriek in my headphones and they are just running around the tower screaming at each other. Not my cup of tea

2 RepliesPlayed a raid with a child. I don't know how old he was but he sounds like a 8-12 year old. Did better than everyone else on the raid. Best part was that when we completed it he said "Look dad I did it." Best raid ever!

Mics don't help since they distort voices, and usually higher pitches become really annoying. That being said, if they are competent, and don't scream and such then I'm fine with them.
