Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

4 RepliesThe two years between 13 and 15 make a HUGE difference. Mainly 13 year olds haven't been in high school, can't have a job, and (most) don't have any major responsibilities.

Honestly I could care less how skilled you are if you are an ass or tool or really loud and obnoxious I will kick you no matter what I place personality above all else

Because most 15 year olds have gone through puberty at this point and have way deeper voices as where some 13 year olds (like you) havent.

I think sometimes younger people are hard to listen too because they get too excited and just don't listen. Fix that then it isn't so bad.

Kids are ok to play with. Some though just act to bratty to play with. I'm a dad and my son plays destiny too so I always treat the younger gamers with divinity and respect cuz I'd want the same for my son. Squeak away kid and have fun playing. Lol

2 RepliesToo many of your peers have left a bad impression on many. I hate most kids in this community. That being said I do game with my clan mates 15 year old son and besides a superman complex, he's quite skilled and mature for his age. But unfortunately there's a list of things that 18- people have done to make most adults steer clear of your age group. Most of the ones that hardcore make fun of you are probably kids who aren't even that much older than you. Ignore them as they think that because their voices drop slightly and they've officially grown their second pube, that makes them so much more mature than you. Find a clan with people in your age demographic and dont run with randoms. Good luck man :)

I actually broke my mike, so I just listen to what others say, but I'm still better at destiny then all the other scrubs no matter how old they are!

I would be fine with playing 13 year olds if they would just lower their volume level. Idk what it is, but they always seem to talk very loudly like they are trying to catch someone's attention. And I would love it it they could just keep their random conversations to a minimum. Also, I swear that all these "kids" are on a sugar high as they play destiny. These are the main reasons that I play with Adults and I don't run into any kids very often.

I've had good and bad experiences. As far as good, I saw a post where a kid was sad no one would play trials with him just because he hadn't beat it. I didn't realize his age, but I agreed with him and sent him a request. My friend and I were just doing normal Crucible when he joined. He sounded younger than anyone I'd ever played with (not even typical 12 year old, but like 9). He was slightly energetic and would get on a less tolerant person's nerve, but he was nice enough. We got chewed up and spit out in Trials, but it wasn't the blame game that normally results. He was just cool with it. It was some of the most fun I've had with Trials.
