Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

I kick people who are annoying and won't shut up, rude, can't follow directions, or are cocky but suck. Just happens to be squeakers who fit that bill many times - but if it's an adult doing one of the things above, I'll kick them too. Kids don't automatically get the boot from me, in fact, many are quite good at the game. If they can follow the team strategy and are quiet when instructions are given, they're okay in my book.

2 RepliesMost people just want to play with people that they can relate to. I mean, what person 20+ is going to want to play with someone who is 10, lets say. I don't hate playing with people who are younger. I'm not rude to them or anything, I just don't enjoy playing with them because we can't have a conversation.

When has anyone but teenagers ever liked teenagers? Granted nowadays there is online gaming to take more flak from but still... we all dealt with it. I don't harass teens but do try to avoid them as I prefer the company of adult gamers.

I usually give kids a chance but if they're really immature or rage machines then they're out. Most kids I've played with are fine tho.

Can you raid/nightfall/weekly effectively? Can you stop yourself from screaming into the microphone? If you can handle yourself, then there isn't a problem.

You have to be mature That's all All the kids I played with want to USE me to get things done like Raids and Nightfalls Only joining on things they need, not to help And they lack intellect 2 kids yesterday told me to kick my friends so they can join because they haven't done the nightfall in 2 weeks...

7/10 hate comments are 14 - 16 about how your a little kid, 8/10 comments about today's youth are probably 15-18 talking about why is our youth retarded. 9/10 of you are obsessed with this game and should go outside. Instead of becoming a level 32 try getting at least a 3.2 GPA

To be fair, I'm in with a group of squeakers from Australia and I make fun of them sure with their puny voices and their stories of having 18 yr old girlfriends and such but I appreciate their company. I guide them through nightfalls and raids. They help me level up my low level characters. They're ok once you get to know them... As with anyone when you think about it.

everytime i use lfg i hear someone sigh or say oh great and they think im really bad but i prove them wrong in a instant i can run sword and relic easily and have beaten crota a few tines while running sword u dont run it alot because if we do have a swordbearer they run it im just back up

I prefer to game with adults just because of the maturity level, most of the time. But if a sque...um, kid is calm and not being annoying I don't mind.

1 ReplyIm a 15 year old that sounds about 12 lol. I've had issues sometimes too. I was doing crota the other day and a guy asked if anyone could run sword and I said I could. Then he said and I quote: "Kids can't run the sword, dumbass" then they kicked me to make room for a sword bearer. I then sent him a message asking him why he kicked me after I said I could run sword and he replied "Cause you're a kid" What I'm getting at here is this: Some people (not all) say kids are unable to do things that other people can just because they're kids. But here is what I have to say to other kids: Sometimes you can be very annoying, and it's not your voice, it's the fact that sometimes you won't stfu. Also kids under 13 shouldn't be playing destiny After all, the game is rated T But that's just my opinion What do I know anyways, I'm an annoying good for nothing guy apparently

My story is not special but I'm telling it anyway :) I reached 32 when I did because of a 14 yo from england. Ran my first crota run and he showed me the ropes. He brought me back and solo'd most of crota a few times to help level my first 32. He runs sword like a champ and routinely gets more kills than I do. When we run crucible.... If I end a match at 1.2 he is 1.8. He is all around better at this game than myself and many other adults I have played with. Age doesn't matter. It's how you handle yourself that defines your character. If someone is giving you crap over your age, then ignore them or leave group. They don't matter and are likely immature themselves. We have all had bad experiences with players of all ages... you squeakers just tend to be easier to single out. Don't let them get to you. :)
