Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

I'm on ps4 I'm 13 and play with 2 of my personal friends (14 and 12). We usually have pretty good luck with finding nice people and I've never been called a squeaker unless their joking with me Add my psn if u have a ps4 Mouth-28-70 Just put a message in it so I won't delete it

Eh. Sometimes they're bearable. It's really just risk/reward. If they have a high voice and suck shit, they're booted. However, if they're annoying but good, I'll just mute em so my ears don't bleed and let them keep playing.

My son is 14 and is bullied on Destiny by basement-dwelling, broken-home product 20-year-olds hopped up on nicotine and Mountain Dew - convinced they are smarter than everyone at their $8.25/hr job. I'll take a 13 year old "squeaker" over some post-adolescent scab who can't come to grips with the fact that their teenage years were wasted on Manga, bitter self-resentment, and the pursuit of a manic pixie dream girl who's into video games. Those 20 year-old sack wagons change their tune pretty quick when I log on and join the fire team. I can smell the funk of cheeto-crusted scrotums and spilt energy drinks through my headset when I level the playing field with an assault of middle-aged mental abuse. Those losers need to Quit picking on my son and other tweens, peel themselves off that rank bean bag chair in the basement, and get back in school. If they can't, They need to STFU and deliver my pizza on time for once!

To be fair most of the people bullying kids are bullying everyone, its not personal. They just suck at life and are bad people. It's also uncalled for and should be reported.

Squeakers are fine as long as long as they act mature. If you play well, I don't care how you sound, you have no control over that. Just act like a dignified person.

Go play outside like a normal 13 year old. pick up skate boarding or blading and break a leg and experience the finer things in life. ur childhood is too short to spend it playing video games Ull prob end up doing later in life

How about this; Squeakers stay quiet until after puberty. And if they're not good, no one will want to play with them regardless.

I personally think this is more of an issue with xbox. I have over 600 hours plus on ps4 and ran into maybe one or two squeakers I could not play with. I recently bought the xbox one and have begun leveling up my chars thru vog, and have ran into multiple squeaker parties that have been unbearable. They would constantly blame, one up and call people scrubs for being below level 30 in vog normal....right. That might be the only time I did not phantom quit, but berated them. All in all, if you cooperate as a team player, try your best and offer assistance to those who need it, I'm all for squeakers playing on my party.

I dont mind squeakers but if they are too young I have to watch my cursing and that's kind of a downer.

1 ReplyI would never "bully" anyone on the game, its just pathetic to try and act like a tough guy from a couch playing video games. The only reason I don't prefer to play with kids that young is the same reason I wouldn't hang out with kids in the real world, I'm 27 years old. I have two kids of my own and a wife, it's kinda weird playing with young kids online and we don't have anything in common. But it's not just 13 and under, most 15-17 year olds these days are immature, narcissistic, completely ignorant but act like they're the know all be all. I tried match making for one of my weekly strikes last week. 2 of us start and clear the first few waves of enemies, immediately before the yellow captain comes in (beginning of sepiks prime strike) the third guy comes in finally and says "sorry guys I had to eat my dinner first but don't worry I'm here now, just follow my lead" he proceeds to die multiple times, every time loudly complaining about how it wasn't his fault. We get to the devil walker and he is shooting it with a fusion rifle from 30 feet away while we kill him with black hammer, he died twice before we decided he'd have to wait until we killed the walker. After all that it was time for sepiks herself. On the walk up the steps he starts telling us to wait back in the room (the one that auto spawns a captain) so he can snipe sepiks and have us revive him when needed. Keep in mind he was using a long bow, we both had black hammers, and it wasn't a nightfall so why the hell would anyone sit back to revive someone when they die? We never even paused for him, we ran right by and killed sepiks before the second waive off enemies spawned. Best part the other guy and myself both got legendary engram's, the kids was furious "why would they give two out of three legendaries!!?? That's so not fair!!". Sorry long post, but point is it's not just 12 and under, a ton of teens are annoying as hell. You can't expect adults to want to play with young kids, the ones that do you gotta worry about

It really depends on the person. There's a 7 year old I play with, and he's very good. It's unfortunate that he's afraid to join party chat because no one wants to play with a squeaker. But some kids can be pretty annoying, always blaming everyone else when something goes wrong and not listening to the rest of the team. Another problem with younger players is that some of my regular teammates and I like to talk about more "adult" subjects, and we feel a little weird doing that with kids listening. We usually just adopt the mindset that it's their problem if they want to play with us, though.

Add me kids. I don't mind playing with kids. My friend and I regularly take noobs and new raiders through VoG and Crota normal. Please add me and let us know if you guys need a walkthrough. We spent the early part of our Destiny play time being shunned and kicked out of groups because we had never done them before. The feeling was terrible and impossible to comprehend. With more people that understand the mechanics of a raid, the more people available to play, easy concept in our minds. We're patient and can explain everything. What we will not do though, is take your lower level characters through that you want to level up quickly. We're not offering to do the work for you.

Most are very annoying and talk about how good they are throughout the match even though your reviving them. These squeakers are the ones I have issues with. If you play the game and keep your shut and only speak about the current engagement Id have no issue running through with youngsters. And I'll agree with you that these people should not be making fun of these young kids just kick them from your team if you have an issue with them.

6 Replies6-9 year olds probably shouldn't be playing destiny. People say video games don't ruin your mind but they do. Have you ever noticed that you can't put that one game down? Or how you get angry over people that kill you with a certain gun? Yes some people aren't affected by it but if you haven't it puberty then the game does usually alter your mind. There were studies on this and I'll try to find them.
