Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

I really don't think your age or your voice affects how you play. I have met people in their 30s that were less mature then a 12 year-old. What really matters if you are a good player or a not so good one.

So once I was doing hard mode bridges and we agreed to wipe, but this one kid didn't move! So we waited FOR 15-30 MINUTES for this kid to wipe! When he is gone, me and a group of other people who just want to get the raid done with decide to leave after a certain amount of time passed. The kid comes back and told us that he just HAD TO WALK HIS DOG DURING THE MIDDLE OF A RAID! I was done with this kid, as well as the others. We left him, got a couple new members, and beat Crota hard AND Atheon hard. "Never again," I told myself, "NEVER AGAIN!"

I don't mind playing with kids that are chill. But when I hear stupid comments over and over and high pitch screams that hurt my ears I either boot them or leave the fireteam. Trust me the resentment that most other players show towards you isn't because of your age or high pitch voice. But they way you act when you die, team wipes, or whatever drop you get hints the name squealer.

Ive actually found that the kids that have juuust quit being "squeakers" but arent quiiite "croakers" yet are the most annoying. They think theyre the second jesus for some reason.

1 ReplySorry man but most of the little kids I run into are obnoxious, uncoordinated, and all around loud. Not saying that all are, but for the most part kids under 14 or 15 are just like the aforementioned description. However if you are reasonable, don't yell into your mic in order to get everybody's attention, and are a decent player I will gladly play with you (and by that I mean randoms I run across)

1 Replydestiny lowered the rating from mature to teen so more people could play destiny... Expanding the player base removed game content. I'm allowed to be annoyed with that. Now the real difference I see is that 1/6 people who sound young during raids don't know wtf they're doing and tend to say cringey things. Like they scream "WHAT THE -blam!- I TOTALLY KILLED THAT GUY" and so on. They don't really learn at all either That being said it doesn't apply to everyone

When I was 13 I had a Snes and could only play it an hour a day unless it was raining. Go outside and get your face away from the tv squeaker.

My only problem is that they never shutup! I know not all kids are like that but all the ones i play with wont ever shutup and just talk about random shit. According to the forums, a lot of them are usually quiet but definitely not the ones i play with

1 ReplyI'm actually okay with being in a fireteam with younger guardians as long as they're respectful and know what they're doing. I'll at least give them a chance before deciding whether or not I want them in the fireteam.

2 RepliesI actually prefer playing with adults more (15) they are more respectful and generally just more kind. Not all of them but ALOT of them are very nice. I had one awful experience once though. Doing Vog hard this adult was acting like a child and blaming everyone else on the fire team. Making them feel like shot. I said if ur upset that's fine but please don't yell and scream at everybody else that it was all their fault and that they suck. He then proceeded to say to me "If I ever met you in real life I would pick you you up by the Fuking neck slam you on the fuking ground. Kick you in the fuking head and make sure you bleed until I'm satisfied you little prick" this was truly disturbing to think that a human being could get so angry and so violent over a game that is ment to be fun. Sorry for this long reply but I think this story should be shared to the community of you want the dudes gamertag I think I still have it from the messages (Xbox one). And if any nice and kind people are out there who would like to have fun and just play message me. Gamertag is the same as name.

1 ReplyThis is a relatively mature topic. Good job to you! I'll play with anyone regardless of age. Maturity =/= age. I've played with a 12 year old and I would much rather play with him again than some of the adults I have encountered.

2 RepliesMy only problem with playing with those in their teens or younger when it comes to a raid is the potential of them being forced to quit the game mid raid by their parents... Just a small frustration.... But hell if a squeaker can hold his/her own and works well and doesnt scream into the headset Ive no problems raiding with em...
