Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

I don't care how old you are, if you can hold your own and know when to shut your mouth. Problem is, most squeakers don't know when to shut their mouths, and act like idiots.

3 RepliesYou're the person Activision wants to sink their claws into. The game is rated T for a reason. They want to hook kids your age now so they can monetize off another 10 years of sales from the teenagers growing up. The young teens and children are Destiny's preferred audience whether you like it or not. Kid it only gets better for you. Soon your nuts will do some crazy stuff and you wont have that high pitched girl voice anymore. You will play these games throughout your teenage years buying each new 60 dollar installment plus DLC. Activision wins, you win. Us people over 20 lose. The series is your generation for the taking. Rub it in peoples faces. Remember this game is rated for kids aged [b]13[/b] and up.. Think about that.

It's not that your voices are high pitched, it's that you say and do annoying things (and the voice just doesn't help). I'm fine with playing with a kid that knows when to talk and when to shut up, but that is almost never the case. They either know nothing or think they know everything. Both are annoying. Also, 1:14 != 70% Check your math. I only play with people who can calculate basic probabilities.

There isn't anything wrong with you kids. It's that the younger generation doesn't understand things a 30 yr old would. Also kids get excited over thing's and get laud. I think that kid's should play with each other. I play with mostly 21+ players because I can't hold my tongue unfortunately.

Most of the 14-17 year olds I play with are unbearable as well. They constantly play crappy, ear scraping music that drowns out everything else. Then after muting them they ask me to injure them and I do, they then continue to play music. They also scream into the mic constantly. Many of the squeakers that I play with play awesome music and play it in the background. They are much more tolerable and aren't bad at the game. Sorry for grammar I'm typing on my phone on the way to work.

2 RepliesI am pretty young to when I play I try not to talk as much and be annoying like other kids.Its good to be mature and listen to other people and not annoying your fireteam. Most people I play with are older than me and don't mind that I'm a bit of a younger player and I mean if your yelling through the mic and being annoying I understand why you would get kicked.

That said, it's not their fault so I won't call them "squeakers" and/or try to make them feel bad for it. 2) If someone is being annoying they shouldn't be given a chance. They should be booted asap regardless of their age. If you don't know not to scream into people's ears, then I don't want to interact with you. This is something you shouldn't have to be told. 3) Some kids are very mature and respectful but a lot of kids (especially ones who play FPSes) are obnoxious and rude. Sadly, you have to sometimes deal with the consequences of their actions. 4) Another reason I don't like playing with young kids is because I don't like having to be mindful of what I say. Sometimes subject matters can get a little suspect and I would rather not be a bad influence on the young. re: you were a kid once Yes, I was a kid once. But being 36 years old I grew up in a very different time. I was taught to be respectful and not feel entitled. This is something that seems to be lost on a lot of kids these days. Also I understand that you're young but it's never too early to learn the difference between "then" and "than" as well as "your" and "you're".

I'm 14 and sometimes I get called a speaker I'll tell adults who play if your point in life is to yeahs talk kids on Xbox get rid of your Xbox your 18+ act your age I don't trash talk little kids I be polite because adults hate on them

I don't mind playing with younger kids but 90% of the time I don't play with anyone under the age this is made for. It's rated T for teen for a reason. If I wanted to play with little kids u would play games rated E. That is my personal opinion. [spoiler]I'm 23[/spoiler]

5 RepliesThe issue is the constant ADHD. Talking all the time, making comments on completely irrelevant things while the, for example, sword runner is about to say "DPS". This, coupled with at times abysmal decision making is what drives people up the wall. I admit, there are some great squeaker players out there. Unfortunately they are in the minority.

Your version of bullying and mine seem to differ a bit. Bullying is far more than just saying your voice is annoying and not wanting to play. The voice itself usually isn't the main issue though, it is more of the immaturity and general attitude that is an issue. As for your saying not to say it's the reason for leaving, why should someone lie just to save you from the harsh truth? There is no reason someone should have to make an excuse just because they can't stand being in the party. That's not to say they should be blatantly rude about it, but I would never make up some lie just to safe you from a little hurt feelings that you can easily ignore and get over. Welcome to reality bud, life is harsh sometimes. You will learn to deal with the pain and ignore it, you will eventually grow up and no longer have the issue anyway.
