Hate Against Kids (Rant)
Hello I am a [u]13 year old[/u] gamer and I play [b]Destiny[/b]. When I join someone or go on [b]raids [/b]I am Called "[i]Squeaker[/i]".
I am apparently someone to laugh at and abuse for being [u]2 years[/u] younger then another person. About 1 in 15 people are nice and don't care. When I need help with a Raid I invite people and ask people for help, then I am abused because I am [u]13 [/u]and have a voice that is kind of high.
I play with[u] 6-9 year old's[/u] if they need help... most other people just bully them and ruin the experience of Communication on this awesome [b]MMO[/b]. I love [b]Destiny [/b]it is fascinating and enjoyable... but about [b]70%[/b] of the community are bullies towards "Little Kids". If you don't want to play with someone because they have a voice that you absolutely can't stand, don't be a Bully just say "Sorry I really don't want to do this... I want to do other things" as appose to hurting feelings and being a dick.
You were a kid once whats wrong with it?
If they are screaming in the microphone and being really Annoying then give them a chance tell them your gonna kick them if they keep going, then if they keep going don't retaliate just be chill and say "Hey you had your warning... sorry your being kicked".
The thread is about people being bullies after they say a few words in a high voice. Also if they try to be funny don't laugh and say that wasn't really that funny try something else. About 4 years ago I got Xbox with COD and I did these things to so I can understand why people gave them this reputation. I feel it should be changed a little bit. Fighting fire with fire never works out it's just a waste of time.
If this is changed I would think [b]Destiny [/b]would be more inviting and people under [u]14 [/u] would enjoy it a lot more!
Also shut up about ratings. Look at the movies people sneak in all the time your not gonna stop anything.
In Australia you are allowed to play it so you can't say crap about kids from Aussie. Think of something without involving ratings or do you need to rely on them?

2 RepliesI understand your pain, we have a regulars in our raid team that are just 10 years old and one of them can get u so annoyed that we mute em completely or blast back at em out of straight frustration, I apologize lil fella :) You know who you are. But I gotta give it to you on your choice of grammar usage: Absolutely Appose Retaliate These are some word choices that I never come across with a 13 year old, well it doesn't matter if you are 13 or 30, this post does have valid points and not some nonsense randomness posted up by some of the juniors of Destiny. If u need help with raids, weeklys or nightfall, look me up and my raid buddies, we are on Xbox1, we welcome all.

The having fun part is hard on destiny, since people can't play and enjoy a game. I feel like I was thrown into a gorilla habitat, and all I want is a banana...

3 RepliesI played videogames with people when i was 11 and used a voice changer. When i decided to turn it off 2 years later the people i played with accepted me, despite my high voice, and still played with me frequently. If the people you find harass you, leave and try to find people that look past you're voice. If the person with a high voice is incompetent it's a different story. There are people out there that don't mind younger players but if they don't play well many will just tell them to piss off. If he/she is extremely annoying the same thing will also happen. I personally don't mind kids if i'm in chat and whatnot but others do mind and if the kid doesn't play well, annoys most people, or both then they won't find anywhere that they're really accepted in. Don't call us jerks without considering our side of the story. [spoiler]also destiny is not an mmo, NEVER CALL IT AN MMO[/spoiler]

Most I've met on here are okay. Certain times like when I helped a kid with Xyor for thorn last week made me want to blow my brains out. Waiting for those 3 ships to appear felt like an eternity.

2 RepliesI bet if you do have a squeaky voice and didn't want to get bullied... Pretend to be a girl. Throw in a few "OMGEE's" in there and watch most of the guys go out of their way to help you. FYI I have a deep voice so this doesn't apply to me. When I want to mess with people I have my wife wear the headset while i play.

4 RepliesThe problem is 4 out of 5 squeakers NEVER shut up. They just talk and narrate the entire raid from their perspective. They tell people what to do who are better than them and know what to do. I have played with a few squeakers who were cool and just did what they were told and asked relevant questions but that is so few and far between.

1 ReplyIt's not so much the "squeaky" voice... The ones I have issue with just don't stop talking. They scream into the mic all raid and try so hard to be funny. If a kid with a high voice speaks normally and doesn't talk incessantly, I have no issues.
