I've played with some kids, if they talk only when necessary it's fine. Because while I don't mind side chatter and joking around, the younger the player the harder they seem to be able to keep on track. A simple comment on how we should change something while fighting Crota, Atheon, etc, will turn into nonstop rattling which gets extremely annoying. Making a funny comment while going through the lamps is much different than going on repeating everything that was said before. You could be the best Destiny player in the world, but if your communication skills are trash you're going to get backlash.
