So, I've been doing the normal CE raid solo a few times (completed it once! Yay!) and almost every part of the raid goes smoothly. But I'm having some serious struggles at the final boss, Crota.
Taking out the swordbearer isn't that hard. Two gjallarhorns to the face, including one or two shots with my felwinter's lie and sometimes an occasional super take him down quickly (although the asshat sometimes tends to hide like a little fegget).
Next up, downing Crota. Two gjallarhorn shots make him kneel, but here's what's bothering me... I always go to the rocks on the right side, usually giving me a clear sight of Crota, however, Crota sometimes moves to the right, hiding his full body behind the giant -blam!-ing horn, meaning I have no chance to get a shot at him!
Do any of you gaurdians know what's causing this or a way to prevent that from happening? Or is it RNG based, like the rest of the game? :/
This is the setup I use:
Titan Striker
Word of Crota
Blackhammer/Felwinter's Lie
Gjallarhorn
Ruin Wings
Raid Gauntlets/Chestpiece/Greaves
EDIT: Ahahahah, found the perfect solution. Instead of going to the upper rock on the right side, you should go to the lower one. Crota will almost always come looking for you! I just had the perfect run on my third try. Two swords, first three downs three smashes, final down two smashes. Got him before the ogres spawned! Now I can carry newbies through the raid for their first time!

I have yet to solo normal crota, but I watched my brother do it on his titan. It took him an extremely long time and rng is definitely a factor. Just gotta keep trying.
