Katar, or otherwise known as "punch daggers," are of Indian descent and origin. Developed as a tribal weapon, the Katar carries the power and force of a punch and the deadliness of a blade. Many variations have been based off of this, one most notably being the Indian "Pata (If I remember correctly)," the gauntlet sword. Basically instead of a regular handle Katar, the sword blade is attached to a gauntlet that covers your fingers and protects the wrist.
