What causes tension between Hunters and Warlocks??
I've seen the 'floofing about' and 'we taught them to blink' statements on Warlock gear but is there more stuff in the Grimoire? Also, even without the grimoire, I see alot of back and forth between Warlocks and Hunters on a daily basis. Are Warlocks just jealous nerds, are Hunters just stuck up cool kids?
Edit 1: It's funny how the Titans just sit back with popcorn watching all this go down.
Edit 2: I'm seeing claims of sexual tension, very interesting stuff!

Edit 9 - MalPen is the only Warlock allowed to eat popcorn with the Titans...he brought beer.
Edit 10 - It has been speculated that the 'squishy' floofy Warlocks are just pretending to be friends with the Titans just so they can use them as muscle against the Hunters.....the plot thickens

1 ReplyLet's look at supers. Hunters have supers that are good, but suck. Sounds weird, but a hunter cannot support. They are the selfish kill seekers that screw up everything. Sure hunters can solo raids, but only because they were made to solo. Titans are the most supportive, as the bubble is great at protecting other guardians and boosting stats. Warlocks or less so, but if you use the shadow runner build, warlocks can be a great support, with tons of CC. Overall, Titans and warlocks do their best to keep the hunters from strangling themselves in their cloaks, while hunters try the same thing over and over again until it works.

To start...I like Hunters the most from a gameplay perspective. Preference. I think the rivalry solidified itself during the times of cheering the Templar and Atheon cheeses. Warlocks were the class that could do both, whereas Titans for the most part could help with the Templar cheese. Hunters weren't good for neither so they were seen as inferior at cheating *shrug*. Hence the Warlocks looking down on the Hunters and Titans being the middle ground. The feud shoulda ended with the patch of Templar and Atheon cheeses because it made every class viable. The feud quelled down until around the time the first solo Crota normal run was completed by a Hunter, followed by a Warlock being the first to solo Crota hard. In the end, this feud is incredibly stupid. There's something about each class that makes them OP or weak. That's called balance, who would've guessed? The classes are basically like a game of Rock Paper Scissors..based on how classes use their respective specials against each other: Titan > Hunter. Hunter > Warlock. Warlock > Titan.

1 ReplyAs a warlock, I personally don't care about this rivalry... To an extent. A warlock, a hunter, and a Titan in a fire team is essential to victory. Hunters, where would you be if the warlocks couldn't self revive and all the nightfalls were lost? Warlocks, where would you be if the hunters could not go invisible and revive you guys when you used a nova bomb or did not have your radiance...? It still is fun to watch (and contribute) to this fire fight though... ;)

It's mostly the community and the initial tension that arose around Hunters that underperformed and 'Locks that could underperform but had Self-rez and could cheese VoG. After all that it's just a matter of some petty feud, anyone with an ounce of sense ignores it as in-game there's no tension between the two until you get super political at Vanguard rank 250.

Idk, as a warlock I actually respect hunters, especially when they're blade dancing at me and I'm shoving a nova bomb down their gullet. Seriously though, hunters aren't bad and I'd take a couple of them in my fireteams any day.

3 RepliesGuardians shouldn't be against eachother. We all work together to fight the Darkness. Without Titans, no Defender bubbles to take cover in and gain abilities. Without Hunters, no convenient revives when invis or Orb making. Without Warlocks, no self-revives to clutch an almost ended Nightfall. Be nice to other Guardians
