Evolution is not hard fact. It is a generally accepted theory, but it is still a theory and is constantly being investigated.

 • Difference between science and scientific theories my good sir is that science/theories: have supporting evidence or have already been proven Religion: no evidence no proof.... Bible is not proof...

 • Who mentioned the Bible? That's right, you did. I'm not going to sit here and talk to you if your only goal is to criticize someone else's religion.

 • I mentioned the bible becuz that is a common excuse people say is "evidence" I said the bible isn't evidence just In Case you were to say something about it. Becuz the bible is not evidence of anything

 • There is more evidence to support the events in the Bible happened by secular writers than any other book in the history of man. Now I know you will ask for proof but in light of how these conversations go I will just say the normal response and that is, "Do the research". I like science but it can be completely garbage sometimes. The main reasons a lot of people do not want to believe and trust in God is because 1: they do not want to be held accountable for their actions,(live how they want to live) 2. And this goes with 1, is that like Satan they want that power of being the most powerful. These are not all the reasons but a start. Just look at the post. People are rude. They want to "prove" someone wrong. Whatever their reason. I prefer to have these types of conversations in person because to much gets lost on translation. God bless.

 • And if your saying "living how you want to live is living like satan" then you've gone too deep. Free will?? Does that mean anything to you? Well it means I can live however the hell I want. The way I see it, according to you people everyone's going to hell. Explain this: The U.S. Army thinks we are doing the right thing. And that they are going to heaven. Well the terrorist and other countries we went to war with think they are doing the right thing too. So then who's going to hell? Us or them? This afterlife/creator shit is stuck in your mind. It's just a bedtime story you were told as a kid.

 • Haha I understand your point man but Religion are beliefs, and I choose not to believe in that crap. If he's real, then prove that I have to live carefully. You keep talking about this afterlife that isn't even guaranteed. And the bible was written by a human. And humans are not an accurate source. Anyone can write a book about anything and people believe it. Shit, did u know "the force" is an actual religion. You know what, I think what happened was I grew up, and stopped needing imaginary friends. All this creator and afterlife stuff is all your head.

 • I am sorry you feel that way. I had disbelief growing up. I was taught growing up that there was a god and even went to church bit I saw hypocrisy and lies going there so I turned away. Then I started researching on my own and found out how much hypocrisy is actually in the churches. Most "churches" don't even follow the Bible. They use it for their gain but not God's.

 • I never argue about God. I only discuss because I know how it feels to be on the questioning side of it all. I still have questions answered all the time about Him when I read His word. It took me many years to finally commit/submit to his will because I realized just how messed I was. It is not that I didn't do good things but when I started picking apart my life I saw my inner demons coming out and how it affected my kids, my wife, and all my relationships. I was not necessarily a bad person by societies standards but I could still see the selfishness in me. I give all credit to God for turning me around. I hope when I pass away that he will show mercy on my soul. It has been nice chatting with you. I do have one piece of advice. If you want to ever want to learn about God......read for yourself. The King James Bible from my research is the most accurate but you still might have to look up Hebrew and Greek words to find better meaning. I pray one day you change your mind and truly, with all your heart, search for Him. It is never to late. Good night brother.

 • Evolution is an observed fact. There are multiple theories of evolution that go about explaining said fact.

 • Its a proven hypothesis, proven. It could be disproven by one fossil showing up in the wrong place, but it hasn't.

 • Of course not, I never said I was. Ask an evolutionary biologist.

 • Evolution is not hard fact because they are still investigating how it works. The general concepts have been proven, but the specifics are still not set in stone.

 • That's the point I'm trying to make. Also, if you'll look at my conversation with Apollo Spawn, you'll see I'm talking about the concept of evolution and all of its aspects, not just the theory of evolution.

 • Well the thing is evolution itself is a fact. It isn't a theory, because it doesn't attempt to explain anything. Evolution is merely genetic change over time. Now Darwinian evolution however is a theory because it proposes why this genetic change happens and how. A valid theory that has not been disproven, so mentioning that it's a theory does absolutely nothing to refute it in any way, or to even hinder it's validity.

 • Well, I don't understand your reasoning behind saying it's "not a hard fact". This statement doesn't belittle is validity in the slightest.

 • Evolution is a theory like gravity is a theory; the question we're investigating isn't if it's true, it's how it works.

 • In 50 years I bet we will finally have a scientific community that agrees micro evolution is real and macro evolution was a theory that died out to something else

 • I get the sense that you don't know what those two things actually mean (microevolution and macroevolution). Microevolution and macroevolution are essentially the same thing, changes and mutations in living organisms, but on different time scales. You said microevolution would be prove and macroevolution would be debunked (or meant to at least), when one leads in to the other. Enough small changes will eventually lead to big changes, that's true for all facets of life. One of my favorite examples of this is the evolution of the whale, which evolved from wolf-like ancestors (see Indohyus). Small adaptation in the Indohyus led the species to become more adept at hunting in the water, and eventually all those small changes added up to a big change; the modern whale; microevolution to macroevolution. It's impossible to look at microevolution and macroevolution and think only one is scientific fact. That's like saying a McNugget is still chicken; yeah it's made of the same stuff (chicken meat), but the meat has been so dramatically altered that you can barely considered it chicken meat, or at least I can't.
