I get your point, and believe in evolution, but they are called micro and macro respectively for good reason, they aren't the same. It's like calling a transmission a car.

The only difference is time. They involve the same concepts. Change in a species over time. Micro evolution is little change over a small amount of time. Macro evolution is the same thing just over millions of years. All of those little changes accumulate to a vastly different organism.

And it explains that the same process occurs, just over longer amounts of time.
