It's not within His character to do so.
lol cuz that's stupid
Maybe God isn't some magical wizard in the sky waving his wand around.

He makes an object he can't hold then he makes himself able to hold it. He created something he couldn't hold yet he still had the ability to hold it. Paradox busted.

"Well as far as melon scratchers go that's a honey doodle"

No because he doesn't exist

Edited by Ferth: 3/10/2015 5:42:00 PMOne of the many problems with this question is that it precludes a reliance on physics. If God exists and if God is omnipotent why would he be subject to the laws of physics in the first place? If God can create matter from nothing he clearly operates outside the bounds of physics as we understand it. Then there is the question of size itself. Size is not what gives an object weight. That's a function of mass. That's why you can have a cubic foot of pumice that most people can lift without issue compared to a cubic foot of iron which would be very difficult to lift. Furthermore, lifting an object would require more than one object. When we lift something we are countering the gravity between that object and the earth. If God were making an object of such incredible mass so as to be immovable he would need to in fact make two such objects. As far as philosophical quandaries go, this one is not the best.

My answer to that is, if god created the universe and it's laws of logic why would he have to obey them? I win

Paradoxes are always interesting and fun.

Your god isn't powerful enough to do that
-
If He wasn't able to hold something it would be because He doesn't allow Himself to hold it. God can do anything but He chooses not to do some things out of principle. For instance, the Bible says God cannot lie. Well He could if He wanted to but He prevents himself from doing so. So... Yes! God could make an object that He can't hold.

God would never hold something as sinful as a DILDO

There is a limit to being "all powerful" and that is that you are "all powerful"
-
No. God is all-powerful. There is nothing he couldn't hold, use, or understand.

How do transentient beings hold anything?

I must know!
