Just got A REALLY GOOD Hand Cannon- From a RARE Engram!
So I was in the tower a couple of minutes ago to turn in some night bounties. I go to Cryptarch because I had picked up a rare primary engram. I decide to quickly decode it and dismantle for the parts. To my surprise, RNG gives me a VENATION III with the following perks
- Outlaw
- Perfect Balance, Single Point Sling, Field Scout
- Crowd Control
I feel like really lucky right now! Thanks RNG for cutting me a break. What perk do you guys recommend? Anyone else get anything get something really good from a rare engram lately?
EDIT: Got rid of "THE BEST" because everybody going on about Hawkmoon. Wish I had one ;(

3 RepliesNice! I dropped Red Hand not long back. Forgot what the perks were as I haven't used it. Still roll with my Fatebringer. Trying to level up Word of Crota but I'm just not feeling it... same with Thorn. Word of Crota and Thorn just feel a bit flimsy to fire for me, plus I find it hard to spot where the reticle is. Anyone else not a fan of either of these?

That's a great roll! Been looking for the Venation to drop. Level 14 Dead Orbit. Only received a Broken Truth drop (which I love and I gave to my Warlock). No shaders. No ship. No love.

You said, "THE BEST Hand Cannon", but I don't see Hawkmoon. You must be confused. But based on those perks, I would probably take Field Scout depending on whether or not you can get a feel for the recoil. The only Hand Cannon that I will take Perfect Balance on is The Last Word.

I got a Venation with return to sender, field scout, and crowd control. So much ammo when mowing down trash mobs

I got one of these from a NF this week. First hand cannon I've received that has the extended barrel design. It's a beast. My Roll: - Performance Bonus - kills grant bonus reserve ammo - Armor Piercing Rounds, Flared Magwell, Send It - Crowd Control This gun is a monster doing my bounties in PVE. The range and impact are top tier with this weapon.

I have a red hand with Clown Cartridge, Field Scout, Third eye If clown cartridge and field scout stack i can have up to 16 rounds

That's a great roll! On my timurs lash I have Range finder Perfect balance- pvp and field scout-pve Crowd control. I spent over 80 motes to get that though haha

I got the last word from a blue before they patched cryptarch. Was my first exotic and remains my favorite. I don't question how, but that day is the only reason I haven't shunned that guy yet.

Definitely run it with field scout, 8 rounds in a magazine is not enough and you don't need the added stability.

hammer forged is a better perk for the venation just because it's range is its weakest stat

Mine has rangefinder, hammer forged, and luck in the chamber. Beast.
