I think (stress "think") that more Americans are on XBOX because Microsoft is an American company. That's not a derogatory statement - you get more systems and more advertising, and -blam!- yeah you should support an American company. Also there's the whole NTSC versus PAL thing.
Sony being Japanese tends to focus on the World wide market.
But if it makes you feel better - there's plenty of jerk bags on Playstation.

Yea, growing up I was a huge Nintendo fan but as I got older and fps games became more popular, I started to stray away from Nintendo and Sony. I still think Nintendo is hands down the best gaming company and makes the best consoles and games but if I am going to play a shooting game it's going to be xbox.
