Crucible: a "screw you" from bungie.
Personally id rather cover my self in tar and feathers than play crucible. The biggest part is no matter how hard i try, i can't get passed a 1.85 kill/death. The whole pvp system just seems totally jacked, like white weapons and legendary weapons doing about the same damage and it basically being pointless to use anything other than a shotgun or fast fusion rifle. It to me just seems like a desperate add on to please whiny people who just want to do pvp and forget about the whole other part.. Called "destiny".
FYI sorry about the rant. I'm attempting thorn and bad juju bounties, and its just not going to move an inch. Second question: are those guns really worth wasting hours of my life on something i hate to get?
Also i know I'm just going to get "get good -blam!-" posts. Don't even think I'll waste any more valuable time on garbage that is a parasite to humanity. But bungie, can you please fix it so i don't have to spend hours on stuff i absolutely hate doing in order to get stuff?
Edit: i meant to say my 1.85 was the highest. My average is about a .6 or lower. I'm thinking its .5 or .4 i don't recall.
Edit 2 PLEASE READ: clearly i didn't state this clearly enough.. I'm here to complain to bungie and get advice. If your going to trash talk, get a life or die. Preferably die and don't infect humanity with your annoying habits. If you have advice, I'd like to hear. If your bungie, good! If your nether, don't waste my time.

Its because of Activision and they don't want lvl disadvantages so it is unfair. That's what iron banner is for

Rant on sir. I'm with you. I detest pvp in shooters. I've had those bounties on some of my alts since November. I did complete bad juju. It's probably the easiest one. Thorn is quite popular, so I'd say it's worth it(just not to me). Good luck guardian!

Bad juju bounty is easy, and I have like .56 k/d. That gun is awesome and I'm doing the thorn bounty now just for shits n giggles. I started playing crucible a while ago and only managed a .25 k/d in the beginning, but I have more than doubled that now (without deleting any character like the other k/d worshippers). Just find some people to run with, it makes a world of difference.

Edited by highlander1590: 3/12/2015 7:35:23 PMBelieve me I am not that great in the crucible at all . . . the most kills I have had in a match is 20 :( but I have completed the bad ju ju bounty 3 times. Just play control find good spots and camp out. You don't get penalized for dying on the Bad Ju Ju bounty so just blast away. If you have a warlock just get in there mele opponents like a nut and toss out tons of grenades you'll get plenty of kills. . I won't even think about doing the Thorn quest though it is way too much effort for a weapon that I would hardly use.

While I dont find any of the exotic bounties hard. I also dont enjoy pvp except Iron Banner and do feel they shouldnt force players into Crucible to complete a weapon bounty.

Il agree with how it's mainly a joke. Walked in as a level 2 yesterday and topped charts with the first scout rifle you get from the vanguard. But then I realized.. Wait. I can almost do the same thing on WoW PVP.

It is garbage. Shotgun or fusion rifle spamming forces you to adopt a play style that would be crazy in PVE. I hate crucible, I agree the bounties should have a purely PVE alternative for the 85% of players who never touch PVP. Just add it to the list of Bungie screw ups. They're both worth the bounties though.

Crucible is awesome, and just takes time to get good at. Aside from lag, there is no reason you can't be successful at it if you want to.

Watch your motion sensor and stay out of tight spaces. Someone going fusion rifle kill crazy? Listen for the tell tale sound it gives off and either flank them or set a trap. Snipers are easily taken down by going around them and shoving a shotgun up their butt Chev Chelios style. Either way it takes time.

1 ReplyDo what I do. Play crucible for the bounties, be a cheap ass like the rest of the people, find green and blue guns that destroy just to win. But in the mean time, find you perfect iron banner loadout, level it up, gather gear that tailors to your play style, and then let loose in the banner matches and laugh at the 25-30s who try to pull that weak shit
