In the games?
The end of Halo 2, when the Arbiter confronts Tartarus. But it flops around between the activation of the array/Truth's assassination, and the Didact's appearances.
Then again, some of the Didact's best quotes are said when he's not present.
"You will relent human, or you will perish! All in life is choice, and your day to choose has come."

Didact was pretty epic. Pity he was a bit of a wasted enemy. They had the chance for an actual boss fight, but instead they give us a quick time event. Such a shame.

Not really. I'd have been more upset with an actual boss fight.

I was thinking something along the lines of Tartarus at the end of Halo 2. A sort of final confrontation. Not just a simple quick time event.

That's what I mean. It'd make the Didact look like a piece of crap.

And therein lies the problem with having one major villain character. People expect a boss fight from that. But the Didact is above a boss fight. But having the final fight be a cutscene would have been a disservice to the character. Unfortunately, quick time events aren't a good middleground.

Actually, a Cutscene would have been fine. The QTE is fine too. It allows the player to deliver the final blow while not dumbing the Didact.
