Why are you mad that red death is being sold? Now people can be useful on crota hard.
Edit: I'm happy to see none of the people posting so far are salty. Everyone seems to either not care, or truly appreciate Xur selling it.
Edit2: seems like everyone is pretty content with him selling it! I see lots seeing it good because it benefits raid teams!
Edit3: Some...Where... Over the rainbow...
Honestly it's not even an arguable thing. You don't earn it through anything but Xur. That's it. It's over.
If you grind ROC or Crucible for it, then it's grind. Not earn.
If you get the strange coins necessary for purchase, it's earned.
Ex: if you're walking down the street and you find a 20$ Bill, you didn't earn it. You found it.
If you see a video game you want, and you work on something in order to obtain the money needed to buy it, then it's earned.

A little yes...
-
Nope, super excited actually. Couple of my buddies that have been playing FIFA lately gotta pick it up and we had a blast in crucible last night (so many red deaths in there now haha)
-
-
Not pissed at all. Now there are no excuses for scrubs to be dying during Crota. If you die now, you are a joke. Red Death makes it that easy.
-
Honestly, people who bought it from xur earned it more than the scrubs who say they "earned it" in crucible or some shit
-
I don't really care honestly. Got it this week from ir yut, but was never going to use it. Not a fan of the PvP and I don't need it for PvE.
-
Na I have 4 earned so I really don't care let others be happy as well
-
Only shitty players care if xur sells a gun.
-
I do not care if people earn or buy their weapons. it really has no meaning to you unless you want it to mean something.
-
Edited by The Loathsome Dung Eater: 3/13/2015 4:15:04 PMNah I'm happy. I 'earned' my read death by joining an Aethon raid where the group decided to just try it with five instead of wiping to get me up and living. I really 'earned' the hell out of it! Less times I'll hear, "oh crap I'm almost dead and there's no orbs" on crota now.
-
How do you actually earn something in this game besides strange coins to buy a weapon. So technically if you buy it from Xur you really earned it were as if it was given to you through RNG you didn't earn it? Just thinking out loud here
-
Don't care how people get there weapon as long there happy. It's just a game and there is nothing special with any of the weapons. You aim, shoot and someone/alien dies.
-
Not really it's a game.
-
I've had mine since he first sold it I ain't pissed... It's better to sell something different for a change. Then to moan about something he keeps selling
-
Why? Xur sold it already twice before so it was never really rare, many ppl just did not use it before the puls rifle buff.
-
Not pissed, just slightly disappointed. Now the thunderlord stands as one of the rarest guns in the game.
-
Na not at all aside from the health perk I think it sucks but just my opinion.
-
Nah, those weekly strikes were worth the work to earn the coins.
-
The only problem is that everyone will be using it in the crucible
-
No? I dont five a -blam!-. Good for the people that didnt have it
-
My 1000 hours, 110 raid completions and 3 nightfalls a week since October with no red death means I didn't put enough time in I guess. Only exotic I've never gotten, saw 9 of then drop in the last 10 days, guess all those guys deserved it over me.
-
Who cares of they are or not. When I play on a team I want my teammates to have the best weapons so that way we all succeed. I'm looking forward to using it on CEs hard mode.
-
I never leveled mine when I got it
-
I'm happy that people that couldn't health regen on CE HM now can!! That raid is cheese now
-
Edited by TacOBruiseR: 3/13/2015 3:41:55 PMIt was one of my first exotics. I couldn't care less who has it, bought it or whatever. If you are in my raid team and it helps you and the team, I'm all for it. Anyone that gets pissed about someone having a certain gun or buying it from xur is simply narrow minded. I have it and never use it. I run gear that will heal with orbs. The red death just isn't a strong enough weapon to burn up my exotic slot.

It's because it was dominating PVP. The pattern is always the same- the weapons/armor that give the best advantage in PVP are the ones you see people "rage posting" about on the forums when Xur sells it and the old owners lose the edge in PVP that the thought they had. Ghorn included in that statement.
