I got of work around 5 PM and made my way to the car. It was bright and sunny outside, spring had officially started. Birds were singing and the flowers were blooming. I remember thinking that a lot of these flowers are quite early with peaking their lovely blossomed heads out. But then my mind drifted to the upcoming weekend. I had a lot of plans, there was this reunion of a bar I used to work at and a birthday of a friend. All in all it was promising to be a good one. I got in my trusty green little car and turned the key. The engine roared in to life and I set of. The roads were pleasantly empty so I estimated it would only take me 15 minutes to get where I was headed. I was headed home, home to the love of my life, our little house and our three fat cats. After parking the car I calmly walked over to the house, sunglasses on, heart full of joy. 'The weekend is finally here' I remember thinking. I was greeted by my soul mate in the living room with a hug and a kiss, cats circling my feet for attention. In the corner of my eye I noticed something odd. The calming blueish hue emanating from my Playstation 4 was a sight for sour eyes after the week I've had. I turned to it and when when I looked back to face my love she handed me a controller and an ice cold beer. "Have fun!" she chimed as she guided me to the couch by hand. After logging in on my account I started up my favorite virtual pastime, Destiny! Looking through the available chat parties I immediately spot my clan chat and join them expecting the usual banter and all around fun conversations. The usual choral "Boss, Boss, Boss, Boss!" was like music to my ears. I greeted my noble fellow guardians and continued to inquire "what is up?" "Boss you are not going to be-Friggin'-lieve what Xur is selling today!!!" "Oh really, and what would that be then mate?" "It's the motherfekking RED DEATH MATE!!!!" ".....Oh MY GODDDD!!!!!!!!!!" After this I got on my main character, the ever trusty hunter and directed my awesome spaceship towards the last remnants of human civilization on earth. The tower was buzzing with life as overly excited sqeakers, scrubs and guardian lords alike were dancing and jumping and playing a friendly game of kickball. All because of this one joyous occasion! I made a quick pit stop at the vault to pick up my precious strange coins before heading over to that center room. In the corner I spotted him. He, the snakefaced, blackdressed, riddle speaking roaming vendor with the short name. Xur. I hauled ass over to him and struck up a conversation. The sales window popped up and there it was, in all it's bloody glory... "Red Death..." I whispered under my breath. I held down the button on my controller to confirm the purchase while sweat trickled it's way over my forehead and past my nose. It was done. I have it!!!! After all this time, it is finally mine! Oh joy! I set back in the couch with a feeling I haven't had for a long while. I was content, proud and even impressed. All at the same time. My week was made. Time to go kill aliens!
