You spent hours grinding to get it? What steps did you take to guarantee getting the red death? We'd all like to know.

Doing the raids and nightfall give good chances with 3 characters

You clearly missed the point. You didn't set out to do those activities with the knowledge you'd get the red death and nothing else. Let's say we both spend 35hrs doing raids, nightfalls, weeklies, strikes, crucible. At the end of those 35hrs, the red death drops for you and I get nothing. I head over to Xur and buy it from him. Now tell me, did you deserve your red death more than me?
