--Archaeus-- Of the Stars Above
Chapter 1 - Relevant Past
/////////////////////////////////////////////////
I simply stood there watching. The sky was quite a marvel to look at on a clear night. But what's even more a marvel, is what indeed, rests beyond our earthly boundary. I could see all of the individual, beautiful stars twinkling in the nocturne. Twinkling, each their own. All, billions of light years separating one another, yet, seemingly neighbors to us.
I took a deep breath as I looked silently into my telescope, hoping to find what it is I seek. A UFO. I knew they existed. Among those beautiful, gleaming stars, there is a planet, and on that planet, life flourishes, just as it is on earth. My grandfather watched the stars for aliens, just as I am. I guess it runs in the family. Except, there's one thing that differentiates us both: He has already found a UFO! As a kid, he always marveled me with his story on how he found such an object, and what it looked like. How he found it accidentally while looking at the stars and planets. How it was triangular in shape, and how menacing it looked. He would always explain that as if it was a great thing; he had found aliens! Though it was great, I could tell there was hesitation in his voice as he told the story. There was something he was neglecting to tell me. As a kid, it didn't bother me too much. The fact that he found a UFO was enough for me, but as I got older, I continued to wonder what it is he was holding back from telling me.
Ever since he passed away six years ago, I became committed to finding exactly what he had found, and discovering that which he had been hiding from me. Well, one year ago, I discovered just that.
It was a late Saturday night during the month of March, and as part of my nightly routine, I sat on my back porch, my telescope at the ready, looking for that one UFO. My wife had already gone to bed by now. She doesn't mind me staying up for an extra hour or two looking at the vast space that stretches far beyond our atmosphere. As long as I don't wake her every night! I leaned over to my wooden table laying next to me, and took a quick sip of my cold glass of water. After which, I looked into my telescope off into the distance, passed the moon. Looking for the triangularly-shaped UFO as described by my grandfather.
I had to be looking for one and a half hours, and saw nothing but the new light of old stars. I was just about to give up searching for the night and go back inside of my house when I heard it: I very deep, ominous and terrifying humming noise coming from directly above me. Fearful, I slowly looked up and that's when I saw it. I giant UFO slowly hovering towards the western horizon, one of which that was in the shape of a triangle! More descriptively, a pyramid! It was like nothing I had ever seen before! I immediately called for my wife and asked her to come look at the ship. She ran out within a minute, and when she looked upon the machine, she completely froze, in shock.
"Is...is that a UFO?!" she asked, still in shock. "Yes it is! It most certainly is! I was right! My grandfather was right! It IS real!" I shouted, full of glee. I was so overwhelmed with excitement, I told my wife to quickly get into our car. We were going to follow it and see if it stops. This is the moment I've been waiting for. I'm not about to let it slip by.
EDIT:
I forgot to add the chapter in somehow, so I just put it in. Lol
