This shit is pissing me off, even after so many Iron Banner events and/or so much time after the launch, people still have no idea that on certain maps, they should just stick with the 2 zones they have and not rush for the other zone and -blam!- up the spawns! You literally can lose a game, because some jackass wanted to rush to Zone C at Firebase Delphi, causing the spawns to shift, letting other team get the control of A and B, while your team is stuck to jumping from the window to their instant deaths.
Learn the Zones, don't rush for the third one!
Firebase Delphi:
Control A
Fight for B
Forget C
A and B are close to each other, giving you a huge advantage on controlling B too. The moment you run for C, the whole spawns shift to spawn your team at C, while spawning the other team at A, causing you to lose A and B while you are stuck to jumping throught he window just to get shotgunned in the face.
Blind Watch:
Control C
Fight B
Forget A
C is the best place to control and gives you a great chance at capturing B. You can easily snipe people from the bottom of B, when people try to enter from the door on the other side of the room. Once you capture B, it's just too easy to defend if you have the slightest bit of brain and not run for A. The moment you run for A, BAM, the other team starts spawning at C and control it immediatly and you are left with the shitty A that has no adventage whatsoever and you also get your way to B blocked by 3 Icebreaker or Efredeeths Spear dudes to be headshotted the moment you trigger the door. Instant loss.
Shores of Time:
Control C
Fight B
Forget A
The moment you control C, you can pretty much kick the other teams ass within minutes with your snipers and lock them to zone A. From C, you can snipe the ones coming from A to C and A to B with incredible ease. If you want, fight for B, but no need to push hard, since C alone and some snipers are enough for you to win.
Edit 1: Use the goddamn Team Chat feature! Cooperation is essential for a win. Even if you do not have a mic, turn the team chat on and you might hear something from that teammate who is trying to warn you of the other team flanking from the other side in an unexpected way!
Edit 2: Terribly sorry for the rant, but sadly, it's the only way to get your thread seen on these forums, so in order to inform eveyone who checks the forums, I had to do it this way. If you have made reading it this far, once again, Im sorry for the rant. Wish everyone the best of luck during the upcoming Iron Banner! May the RNG be ever in your favour, guardians!

Well they did introduce new maps to give more variety to the playlist this time, though now it seems i keep getting Burning Shrine over and over. I also think they need to take a look at their map design, on almost all their maps you want to grab C and fight/hold B and forget about A. Burning Shrine is like this and so is Rusted Lands. It gives a bit of an unfair advantage to the team who spawns at C flag in most of these matches since most pick up groups have no idea how to flip/break spawns and re-take those flags. I always see all 5 of my teammates sit on A the entire match and wonder why we lose 20k to 7k.
-
Eh, I'll follow this if I remember. Don't really care enough about pvp to try and remember.
-
Bumped, I hope all you people I play with read this...
-
I play follow the guy in front of me (sometimes even into death).
-
Or you could play with a team
-
Bump but don't forget guys you can snipe B on all maps
-
Bump, It's freaking annoying when people -blam!- up the spawn!
-
The best thing to do in my opinion is to get a raid team together at the very least an LFG team
-
Xbox 360] I have a 2.0 K/D, and am #3 in Oregon for Crucible, and #150 in the Country. Please add me if you're a good players and like Iron Banner along with Crucible.

Be quiet!

Edited by cowalker: 3/17/2015 11:28:57 AMIf shaxx (I think that's the crucible narrator) didn't say at the beginning of control matches "lets fight guardians, capture all zones", people would stop capturing all zones. Like I do.
-
I always cap A, if you can't win without holding spawns like a baby gecko then I don't want you on my team nor do I think you would be much of an asset.
-
You have to actually take crucible seriously to want to do this. Quite a few of us just don't take crucible seriously. sorry to break it to you
-
-
Iron Banner is up, so Im bumping one time for this.
-
And no one worry about zone D (death) I'll cover it - I'll be there all the time.

Edited by Chit Chat: 3/16/2015 5:32:44 AMI don't see why you expect that much from randoms. Just crucible bounties alone make people out for themselves and not always interested in winning, but completing those bounties. Like capping 10 control points. How do we do that if we cap 2 and hold them down the entire match? Plus RNG has proven that not always the best get the best rewards. So very little incentive to winning other than self gratification. It's best just to go with friends.

Ah, I see you fixed that typo. No worries about your snotty comment thinking I was referring to something else and you are welcome. Ya could have apologised though, but that requires class and maturity.
-
This is actually really helpful advice. Hopefully people don't get scared off by the rantyness (is that a word?) Of it. Nice job.
-
Instead of jumping through the window like a noob you can always run through the doors that are under it. Or if you're a titan or hunter, from C, far left path into the middle you can jump on top of it and then jump into the other sides window. Takes 5 extra seconds but gives the total element of surprise.
-
I thought it was common sense, but nice job it looks like you helped some members out.
-
Honestly, not a sarcastic bone in my body, thank you for this. I am not a heavy crucible player (but when I do I rank high and take down a lot of people), but now with this knowledge, I can be an even more effective member while playing. I had a feeling that such mechanics were in place, but it is good to see it confirmed and spelled out like this. I will definitely use this info in the future
-
This advice is very helpful, except- when it's NOT. Example: Shores of Time; enemy snipers camping behind C may make controlling it impossible. Now I'm stuck with A and fighting for B. Example: Blind Watch; if you control both A and C, and ignore B, you are spawning on BOTH heavy ammo points and have the advantage as the opposing team can be contained by heavy weapon fire. Whatever your strategy is, you can't keep blindly pursuing it in the face of a changing tactical situation, while adapting can still give you the win.
-
If bungie did indeed fix it there should be the dark below maps too. That's gonna screw loads of people up! I for one am still new to them
-
Let the opposing team have 1 base, keep 1base as a middle found(like a battlefield sort of) and keep 1 base under your control
-
Hate to reply twice, but- You've neglected to mention that the game sticks one team with the worst point from the start of the game. Ignoring it does away with your kill point modifier. You absolutely have to take the point you spawn at, even if your goal is to reverse the control ASAP. This makes it very challenging for Bravo team in Delphi or Shores of Time, Alpha team in Blind Watch. My advice for them is to take your point quickly, then ignore B and try to flip spawns as fast as you can by rushing the opposing start point and taking it. Ignore the center control if you have the weaker starting position- at least for the start of the game.
