So I have been grinding PQ 35 for the Z sword. Haven't gotten it yet and well I can't seem to get a z rank either and I just kick both gotenks and gohans ass usually. Been doing everything I usually do to get z ranks but nothing.
That's not my issue. I wanted to know if it was only possible to get the Z sword by getting a z rank on the quest. You know, b/c it's called the z sword. I know, I know. Stupid thing to ask right? Well is it? I mean it might be the creatures idea of a joke to the players.
Also, I already know it's really up to RNG shit and all but this just got me thinking a little. Probably just over thinking it really.

Ya. When I ended up getting it last night it was from one of my many z ranks I started getting.

I know how you feel I really want the z sword too but my problem is that when get gotenks pattern down here decides to change it up but I looked on the Internet I know it's not that reliable but some people said that you can get it from gotenks during the first time he runs others say you can only get it randomly for gohan.

Eh well I have like 10 of gotenks z soul now but I just got the sword. After grinding for what feels like for ever it finally drop. For me it was at the end of the mission after I beat gohan. It didn't say I got anything but it was there at the end. It's awesome looking. Figured it would be a 5 star item but it's only a 4 star but w/e

I just kept grinding the shit out of that PQ. Felt like forever but damn, you just have to stick with it. I do have to say that gotenk is one of the most frustrating guys to fight in that game. Other then when gohan, goku, goten and any other kamehamehas bullshit shooter gets together and just spams the shit out of this ults.
