During beta, I like many other players redeemed the Destiny promotional codes. Additionally, I redeemed the codes from my ghost edition and limited editions purchased for PS4, XBOX One, and XBOX 360. Today, I decided to try out the destiny tracker and noticed that one of the weapons listed for my inventory was the Gjallarhorn, along with a single kill. This is weird, because to date I have never received this weapon and only had the unlocked grimoire card. I decided to look through the forums and found that there is an official release from Bungie {see link}, (#gjallarhorn) concerning this elusive weapon and that the grimoire card should reflect zero kills, if you have only redeemed the card.
Based on the statement, I should fall into the category of a missing weapon... instead of never having had it drop, which is sadly the case. Is it possible that my profile is legitimately bugged and preventing this drop from occuring? Are many of the other Day one players that are complaining about seeing it drop for other players and not them...having a similar issue? Any insight or feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

There are occasions where a nearby player making a kill with a weapon, will record a kill for you via that weapon, also. I'm not sure if it does that anymore, but it was at least possible in the past. It won't bug your account. Gjallarhorn is just a very rare drop.

No, you don't get the weapon for putting in the code, you get the card.

Nothing is wrong. You have a "Kill" with it because you were likely near someone who got a killed with it and it registered for you. The elusive G-horn is elusive for a reason. You can continue to play modes that have chances to drop exotics. Raids, nightfalls, legendary engrams, roc playlist.

Thing is, once a weapon drops, it becomes more common of a drop in your character (or so it seems) so if your profile was bugged and thought you had the gun, you'd have better chances of getting the gun 'again' as a drop
