I believe that elite crucible players should have the ability to earn a higher tier of pvp-only armor. I remember walking around in WOW seeing guys decked out in pvp gear and thinking "omg he's a badass". It should reflect your performance. So maybe destiny needs to incorporate pve and pvp gear separately.
