Ok so I've been so lucky to get the husk of the pit drop for me the very first week of this DLC and Crota giving me the crux the week after that. There had been a few topics about this weapon already, about how much it's underperforming. The last couple of days I've been doing roc strikes, while trying out diffirent weapon setups to make the experience a bit less repetitive (I own all weapons in game) Ones the necrocasm was in my weapon setup I immediately noticed the strikes took way longer, I died alot more and something just wasn't right. Note that I also played with the Monte Carlo, hardlight and some legendary autorifles.
It's clear this weapon needs tweaking, but I'm just afraid if they ever tweak it and make it balanced with other primary weapon exotics it will be to late. The vex got tweaked to 323 damage exactly 1 week before the DLC, making it balanced and worth giving up an exotic slot for. But after that week every other exotic was upgradable to 331, while the vex was stuck at 323. The same thing might happen to the necrocasm, they might buff it but just before the HOW comes out and we only get the chance to enjoy it for a week or two.
For the guys that are going to tell me that I just have no clue how to use the weapon and it's working just fine, please teach me so I can enjoy it while it lasts. Any tips and tricks are welcome.
At the moment I'm only using it on my gunslinger Hunter with reload and balance skills on to make it a bit bearable. I play at close range.
