I honestly think people lie about getting Gjallarhorns. If it was as abundant as this spreadsheet suggests, people wouldn't be complaining nearly this much about never having it drop. People like me.

I think people who get it are more prone to want to reply to posts such as these because they want to let people know
-
The people without it are way more crazy about it. I have gjallahorn and it's awesome. But, I don't feel the need to make post after post about it. People without it make all of those gjallahorn posts. So it seems like most of the people do not have it.

I actually saw a ghorn drop during the crucibles for the number 2 of the winning team... I was number 1...

Edited by XOShairece: 3/18/2015 5:59:33 PMWhile that may be true, I think the people that DO get Gjallarhorns from the Nightfall are just looking for a reason to brag about it, so they're more likely to participate in the poll.

^this. I assume the increased reporting rate for Gjallarhorn is due to both effects - selection bias and flat-out lies. Although I will say that I have seen more Gjallarhorns drop in the past month than in any time previous. I assume that's just pure randomness, but it's too bad we can't see the actual drop rates to find out.

It would be nice if Destiny would let us see some of their game statistics, like drop rates and other percentages. Most RNG loot systems have known stats.
