DISCLAIMER
There are feels ahead, and a legitimate message for anyone who reads this. If you do not want feels, or a legitimate message, read no further.
Over the past couple years, I have watched, and gotten to know, some really great people on here. Many of which I'd actually want to meet. It is really wonderful that such a great community has grown here, even if some might say that this community has stagnated.
There is something that troubles me, though. Users seem to disappear over the years. For example, BioSmiley isn't as active as he was just a few months ago, and has all but disappeared (outside of group chat). People have even thought I left as well, after periods of inactivity.
There is a certain beauty to simply fading away. People will always remember you for what you left behind and what you said, and you will be immortalized in the text on these forums.
However, given the fact that Depression is the worst thing afflicting the upcoming generations, the beauty of fading away suddenly turns very grim. People disappear, yes, but why? I got to thinking that lately, and the possibilities left me happy, or in a very grim mood.
I shudder to imagine how many people on this forum disappeared because of death, or potentially worse, suicide.
I care very much for those I have met on this forum, and other people I have yet to meet. You may be skeptical, but I genuinely wish the best for you all.
I know that many people here are battling Depression, and I know a few personally. I know it can be hard to deal with, and that I may not know what you're going through, but I want you to know that someone cares for you, even if it is someone else putting text onto an Internet forum. Be strong, because you can beat it.
I also would like to say, if you gotta talk to someone, you can always talk to your friendly forum Sunbro.
Have a good day everyone, and always remember to Praise the Sun!

I would just like to take a moment to say that there is always hope. There is always something there, even if you don't think you can find it. In the words of Aristotle, "It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light". Stay determined. Oh, also, a friendly message from Andre of Astora.
I'll be seeing you, then. Be careful, out there. Don't get yourself killed. Neither of us want to see you go hollow.
I battled depression. For a time I was suicidal. But I have found salvation deep within the bowels of the BNet. A scary place to some, full of mentally unstable floodians. But I like it here. We survive. We laugh with each other. But remember here who the real enemy is: The fucking normies. They have stolen our memes. They have laughed at us behind our backs. They have completely overrun 4Chan. They are a plague.

Yeah it scares me sometimes too. The friends that I am most close with I text or kik so I can keep in touch but whenever a user I was very fond of but don't talk to outside of these forums disappear it concerns me. I've seen a lot of users come and go and there are three particular users that I miss a lot but have no way to check if they're ok.

Trust me you're lucky if I you never see me again

When I was depressed I beat it. On my own. Took me two years. But it never truly went away. Now it's just the occasional on/off thing every few days. Getting better though.
