TWO EXOTICS EQUIPPED

I for one find it very irritating that I cannot equip two exotic weapons. I have less of an issue with not equipping two exotic armour pieces. This is certainly something that should be applied to PvE in my opinion, however maybe not with Crucible as I could imagine characters would become OP as heck given pre-existing psychological subclass advantages. I think that it should be made available to equip two exotics, using a subclass perk, or attach the perk to certain exotic weapons. One that would appear at the very end of the upgrade tree, and one that sacrifices the armour/recovery/whatever stat so to keep an element of balance: You can kill easier, but it's easier to be killed. Linked to the whole "Hunter/Warlock/Titan Mastery" achievement, that could be the name of the perk to equip two exotics: "Warfare Mastery" or something idk. Opinions? EDIT: I made this post a very long time ago! Since then I've played the game a LOT more, made a Titan and play 99% on my Titan now. I've kinda come to the conclusion that (at least armour-wise) I don't really care about equipping more than one exotic because most Titan exotics are bad outside of RW & HoS14! However I'm still inclined to say I would like to equip more than one exotic weapon. Having said this, a lot of encounters (especially in end game content) would be so easy if you could. For example running a ToM/Black Spindle combo would be a DPS nightmare, so as of this edit, I'm really not bothered about equipping more than one exotic item (I made this edit as people were actually responding to this again for whatever reason haha it's super old)

  • For some reason Bungie seem unable to grasp that they need to separate Crucible from PvE. In PvE you should have been able to equip a full set of Exotic gear just as you can a full set of legendary. Even the armour design suggest that this was the original design decision behind exotics. It's possible on the warlock and hunter to have a full set of gear, head to toe in the same theme and the warlock effectively has a set of all Ahamkara just waiting to be allowed to equip! Even the perks on them are complementary! I'm not sure why they haven't simply made it possible to equip sets but, not mix and match . Given the pwrks a mix and match would make some sets OP but, the complementary perks on the matching sets would be fine. I would have made Crucible a simple case of one exotic armour and weapon piece and you can store your crucible loadout in the same way as you store a COD or Battlefield loadout. Thus keeping the two gameplay areas become separate and Bungie are then allowing the PvE developers to finally fly free of the "It must somehow also work in Crucible" strings that currently have them very firmly anchored to the floor!
