You are wrong. Destiny vanilla is what you paid for. The DLC was put onto the disc as a placeholder so they can work on it later and have more time for other things. The DLC was never part of the vanilla and it was ALWAYS meant to be sold as a DLC.
The content is on the disc yes but that doesn't mean that it is actually part of the full game. Have been to any of the areas before? Some of them are so buggy and glitchy that if they were unlocked than the game would be broken.

I'm not saying they should get the dlc. I'm saying the they should be able to do the weekly with vanilla content every week, not be locked out of that game function due to it solely using dlc. They could easily add another strike for non dlc owners

Than that would be 2 different nightfalls a week. So if you have 3 characters than that means 6 nightfalls a week.
