God gets a lot of blame for what mankind chose. God created a perfect world and gave it to man to rule over. Man chose to disobey the one rule that God gave to man, and so sin and corruption entered the world. Disobedience spawned from pride and thus imperfection, sickness, disease, sinful natures, and death entered the world. God didn't want bad things to happen to us, can He involve himself to prevent them, sure He could. But we chose to have a choice. We chose poorly, and are reaping the consequences of those choices.

Edited by Jack: 3/20/2015 2:23:38 AMThat's what I'm talking about, you completely dismiss anything bad in the old testament but then accept Adam and eve and talking snakes.

I'm not dismissing anything. Under the Old Law mankind lived under really harsh laws. That's my point! Sin requires blood. That's why He came and paid the ultimate price for sin! We no longer have to pay the price for our sins. That doesn't dismiss the origin story. I'm just saying we're under a very different covenant now. That's like saying I don't believe the origin story of the United States because they had slavery until almost a 100 years later.

Also there are over a hundred verses in the Quran that glorify and endorse violence towards unbelievers. The difference between the Bible and the Quran is that the violence in the Bible is under the Old covenant and God gave us a better way to deal with sin. The Quran still gives allowances and rewards for those that kill in the name of the faith. If any of this information offends anyone, your problem isn't with me, it's with the information.

Ok, sure I get your point, now disprove Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, Confucianism, Druidism, Paganism, polytheism, Satanism, Scientology, Shinto, Sikhism, Universalism, Pantheism, and so so so so much more. Why is christianity correct?
-
I didn't disprove Islam, I just made the point that I don't understand why anyone would willing choose such a violence endorsing religion. I don't need to, nor could I, disprove or prove that any religion is right or wrong. I would just advise that you make your own decision about what you choose to believe. Like I said earlier, there are certain important parts of Christianity that a person has to have faith are true. I choose to believe it. Choose what you will. I understand that I might be wrong, but I might be right. Can you say the same? Either way, have a good night.

Disprove wasn't the right word to use, I apologize, have a good night to man.
