How to Cancel the Reload Animation - for EVERY Weapon Type
The video will really help to visually show the exact point when you can cancel a reload animation (per weapon type), but the basic gist is this:
Your ammo count goes up before the reload animation finishes. If you sprint or switch weapons before the animation finishes, you cancel the animation.
Another way to know when to cancel it is to watch the animation; when the bullets/magazine/shell/whatever enters the gun, you can start the cancel.
Summary for when to cancel:
- All weapons - when the ammunition counter goes up
- Hand cannons - when your thumb pushes the bullets in
- Auto, scout, pulse, and sniper rifles - when the magazine clicks into the gun
- Shotguns - when a shell enters the gun. Gotta wait for all of them, though
- Fusion rifles - when the battery clicks in, and then a frame or two after (you'll see your Guardian lift the gun up)
- Rocket Launchers & Machine Guns - when you click down the case lid after placing the ammo in there
So, yeah, it's not just the No Land Beyond that can do this. :-)
