Updates

Updates are always being made, so how do you stay in the loop? Aside from popping into the Theme tread and this group, you can check the status of the theme on the userstyle page here: https://userstyles.org/styles/111003/the-new-old-new-hawtness-bnet-dark-theme If the large button says "Update with Stylish", that means I've made changes that are available to you. Go ahead and click that button, and you'll be cool like the rest of us with updated forums/functionality. Recent Updates - 3/1/15: I've fixed the polls as well as made some styling changes to a few elements. Make sure you update your theme so you're not left out of the fun. Future Features *Disclaimer: Sometimes things just don't work out. While I'm working on the things I list here, it's not guaranteed to be delivered. Hats You heard me, hats. I slaved over my keyboard figuring out a good way to get our join dates from Bnet, and I've finally got them. All that's left to do is compare today's date with your join date, and then I can find out where to put it and how to style it. Depending on how flexible Bnext's structure is, this information could be anywhere. I hadn't looked into that yet, regardless, we'll have something equivalent to our beloved hats of B.old. Keep in mind that I probably can't take bans and user activity into account. When I pulled user information from the server, I didn't notice data on either aspect. Obviously I could try pulling it elsewhere, but really I'm just focused on getting this thing up for now. So our Legendary members and Mythics are based on membership duration entirely, no outside factors are accounted for. It's a work in progress, frankly I'm just elated that I got actual data back and was able to make it so it requested the join date for each user in any given thread. Once I have something visual to show you, I'll throw a picture up in this thread.

 • On the note of hats. I'm still working on it. Where I've succeeded: I've called to the Bnet Platform to grab our join dates, and I've successfully grabbed each user's join date in any given thread. I can make it display the join date. Where I've failed: I'm having a hell of a time getting it to display the join date for specific users. As it stands, it will print out every single user's join date in each post, which is absolutely not what I want. So right now I'm trying to create a function to assign that join date to the user in question. From there I have to find a way to calculate how many years you've been here from that date. For some reason I can't just grab that information from the popup window when you click on a user's avatar. I sure as hell tried, but I'll just have to work it out I guess. I haven't forgotten about this, I'm sure as hell trying to make it happen.
