It's hard to toss around the word or abbreviation "OP" properly in a game filled with so many cheap ways to get killed but many think Felwinter's Lie is this super OP shottie/sniper that ruins PVP. I do die by it often but since I prefer to stick with teammates it's rare to see Felwinter's go on a killing spree due to its poor ROF. So I ask: Is Felwinter's lie flawed and overpowered or balanced by its slow ROF? Thoughts?
-
It is a legit sniper rifle
-
If someone has one with full-auto and range perks it is OP as full auto is dodgy and actually buffs the firerate (same on found verdict when FV has a lower RoF stat but shoots faster than sword breaker)
-
The way that special ammo works so that people always have access to a 1 shot kill is OP (that goes for snipers & fusions too) I'd like to see special ammo made like heavy, forcing gun fights to be about skill
-
Nope. RoF is too low.
-
Nah. Other shotguns are just as good with the right perks.
-
I think it's fine. I have a Felwinter's Lie but I normally use Secret Handshake for the higher ROF. You're right, if you miss that first shot with Felwinter's Lie and the other guy has half a clue, you're probably gonna die.

Any shotgun with hammer forged and shot package is gonna wreck you. Felwinters is just the easiest shotgun to get with these perks other than secret handshake so it's common. Everyone is complaining about it like it's this one overpowered shotgun but it's really not. It's the perks. I only have hammer forged and full auto on mine and any shotgun with shot package will take me out. Mines like a slower firing found verdict ( literally the stats are almost the same ).

Edited by KevINCOGNITO82: 3/22/2015 9:35:05 PMNope. And I dont even have it. Edit: correction, just got it with a decent roll out the package. Gonna leave as is, got all your standard good perks-luck in chamber, hammer forged, except instead of rangefinder or shot package, I got crowd control. I think that will do just fine considering I got 2 out 3 I'm 1st perk tier thst increases range and impact but decreases stability. Who needs stability on a gun with a low fire rate like that. Not gonna use it for a while, I'm in love with my 7 round judgment vi with rangefinder and luck in chamber
-
Before I got it I thought it was OP but now having used it I think the fire rate can really mess you up if you miss
-
Vs 80% of other shotguns I would say yes
-
It's just so fla though

Edited by ArticularAlloy: 3/22/2015 1:29:29 PMKind of, but I am getting used to it. I might just start using mine. I have probably 50 or 60 shotgun kills in PvP, I basically never use it. I try to stay at a decent distance or I melee. Sometimes you just gotta use it also, complaining won't keep you alive. lol

Not really :/ my secret Handshake does the Job too
-
Edited by ISpeakLOGIC: 3/22/2015 12:35:37 PMIt's as op as supers but I don't think it's game breaking. I think it is no skill and disgusting when people use it as a primary though. Edit: I also think the fire rate should be nerfed.
-
Nothing is OP. Nothing.
-
Not really. It's just a good one shot shotgun. The problem is the current crucible format allows people to effectively use them ahead of their primary for the entire game. That's the problem.
