The Crucible is overrun with Pulse Rifles, Handcannons, and Shotguns. The majority of AR's are trash, up to the point where they don't even contend with the top five weapons in Crucible. We should see Bungie buff the impact & stability of all AR base stats by 2 - 3%. Range can stay low where it's at. What are your thoughts?
Edit: the current issue is when I engage in an advantageous one-on-one gunfight, built for me to win and lose simply because my weapon is underwhelming. This lets us know that these weapons are terribly imbalanced. Granted I'm not the strongest of players but I understand tact & game flow.

At least for PvE...my SUROS shoots marshmallows now :(
-
Only a little bit, hard light needs a big buff though.
-
If budgie (sic) want to go halfway then just buff the exotic ARs to what they were. They should be special.

Edited by PedalOnTheRight: 3/26/2015 1:27:10 PMI just started using AR's before the de-buff, had brand new Suros, Hardlight, Vanquisher, Up For Anything, and a couple others I was starting to try out - normally use scout/HC All getting dusty after the buff - went from being an ok choice even for players like me that prefer single shot type primaries to almost useless unless you were really good with AR's already. Some can still make it work, now it's not worth the effort to try and get to that level - my hardlight used to be able to mow down packs of enemies, now it seems to tickle a few of them to death and then I'm stuck mopping up the rest CQC style. Speaking of AR's - A simple buff isn't going to fix that bad (insert long string of unflattering comments here) joke of a raid exotic known as Nechrochasm

I'm glad it happened. If you spray and pray, go play cod
-
I have two suros and I can't use them :-(
-
Crucible has always been something that is unbalanced, if you don't use what's good you won't win, there might be shifts in it but it will always be like this
-
I want my Suros Regime to be awesome again. Thats why its an exotic
-
They only nerfed them because it was the number one used weapon, it was nerfed for a reason
-
I use the prime Suros in the iron banner and it rekt everything but a hawkmoon. It's a rare auto rifle. Check my warlock.
-
They are absolute trash. I stopped using them well before the nerf. But that nerf was completely unnecessary
-
Today I placed my beloved Suros in the vault. A sad day :(
-
I would like some sort of buff, but high impact ars should only see like a 3% buff.
-
They should increase the damage by 1.5-2%
-
Not fully buffed back but somewhere between now and are 1.1.1
-
Damage yes. Don't think they need any extra range though.
-
Just use Oversoul Edict, trust me.
-
I just got suros so yes pls
-
Buff nechrocasm extra too
-
I just wish they'd have leveled things out in crucible like they tried but killing them in PVE didn't make sense. I don't even use ARs in PvP at all I always was a hand cannon PVP user so all I noticed was hearing that suros pop, pop, pop a lot less but in PvE I don't understand why they nerf things. I know nothing about programming so maybe it was hard to separate the two but I always played around with things for bounties and suros and hard light I don't even use for patrols anymore use TTK is just too long. Used hard light for glimmer on exclusion forever now it's just bit worth it. Just like the vex it was soo much fun tearing it up on patrols now it just uses too much ammo. And is saved for solar burns.

They are all worthless. It's okay everyone, now that they're the least used weapon they'll get a buff soon don't worry guys.
-
It's like I posted somewhere else. Look at most games. Assault rifles are the most used in most predominantly PVP games. Call of duty being just one, but arguably the biggest example. Assault rifles aren't grotesquely overpowered, they're just the easiest to use. The don't involve as much thought as some others. Holding down the trigger just makes it easier for some people. But then you have the option to tap the trigger and get more accuracy out of it, firing in bursts. Personally, I like to see accuracy with semi auto weapons rewarded. I loved World at War because of that. Semi autos were king basically. I think they should go back to where they were.

In the most recent iron banner I saw quite a few ARs. Monte Carlo in particular. They seemed to do OK. But I support a reason buff!
-
Big ducking deal I can wreck with silimar'a wrath and hardlight
-
I'm guessing you haven't used the recently sold Silimar's. It's no Thorn, but it is VERY efficient. Not just in terms of maintaining a decent TTK, but especially so in the flinch it seems to cause (I can't actively confirm as I've not been the victim of one.).
