I just noticed Destiny is 76 on metacritic....

How did Bungie go down from being a top tier game developer to this.... even the user rating is 6/10... http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/destiny How much would YOU rate Destiny?? To me this game is a 6/10 mainly due to how addictive it is to play with others in strikes and raids... everything else needs MAJOR improvements and where is that story at? but i did get my money's worth after 500ish hours

 • Scores for games like Destiny are hard. While I would rate the overall game maybe 7.5 to 8.0, I would also rate games like Lego Marvel as an 8.0 or so. But therein lies the problem. Lego Marvel, while a good game, gave me around 25 to 40 hours of gameplay, while Destiny has given me 800+ hours of gameplay (up to 30 times more), and will most likely easily top 1000+ hours by the time HoW's launches. I've always had difficulties with how games are rated in terms of games like Final Fantasy or Dragon Warrior, etc. on consoles, since while all games are an experience unto themselves, some games quality and/or quantity STRETCHES far beyond what 99% of other games do. For instance, I might love an action game and rate it 9.0, but then also love Red Dead Redemption and rate it also 9.0. However, Red Dead Redemptions quality of gameplay that garnered that 9.0 can give me 100's of hours of 9.0 quality gameplay, whereas another game might only give me 20+ hours. If each game is of a quality near or at (in my opinion at least) 9.0, how do I ratify, or properly put into place or judge the EXTRA several hundreds of hours that Red Dead redemption gives me over another game? It is like saying I will give you a diamond that is a certain value and cut in this package and it is thus rated.. A.... I will also give you this package of diamonds that is rated the same, but will give you ten of them. Both are rated A. Which package is better? In saying all of this, I believe some special category or criteria should be had for games such as Destiny in regards to score and grade, since Destiny at 7.0 (if in fact true) yields countless hours of 7.0 value, whereas another 7.0 game might only give a gamer 20+ hours after ALL has been played, collected and the credits rolled. Thoughts or comments?
