Passionate Anti-cheese Forum Post Titled: "Lactose Intolerant"

So I just wanted to talk about this while I'm at work hiding from the manager. Last night my roommate and I wanted to do Crota's end. He had never done it before, and he needed radiant shards because he had gotten some gauntlets from someone who cheesed the first part for him. Cheesing is essentially where you use glitches, or take shortcuts, or use cheap strategies (for lack of a better word) to get past difficult points in the game. In my opinion, cheesing is boring and defeats the entire point of the game. When we got a group together off of the LFG we started up the raid and got the first chest. Then the leader proceeded to sneak past everything using invisibility and completed the first segment while the rest of us were waiting to be revived. Being a gamer, I like shooting things, I like facing hordes of enemies while working as part of a team to get from point A to point B. I do NOT like dying and sitting waiting for someone to play the game for me. That's boring as -blam!-!!! I wanted to show my roommate how intense it is having to run to each of the glowy lamps to get the weight of darkness off before the lamp explodes and kills you. I wanted to fight the final horde of hive, and the ogres while waiting for the bridge to form then getting the -blam!- out of Dodge! That's FUN! When I go online to get a bunch of people together to do a raid, I WANT it to be hard as -blam!-, I WANT to struggle and put everything I have into completing the raid! That's FUN to me. When we got to the bridge segment I was already irritated about the last part. Then the guy was like "okay step on the center plate, then get off and immediately jump off the edge." I DIDN'T REALIZE THAT HEROES SAVE THE WORLD BY JUMPING OF A CLIFF!!! THIS IS NEW TO ME! After that we left and did the weekly heroic strike. I didn't pay sixty bucks to jump off cliffs and let the game be played for me. I want to fight a bunch of scary monsters and strategically complete objectives with a bunch of people. I detest cheesing and from now on when I post on the lfg, I'm going to preface each post with "NO CHEESE RUN IM LACTOSE INTOLERANT" We should totally make "lactose intolerant" a thing when wanted to do no cheese runs. So that's it. I just wanted to type that up to pass the time. Hope you enjoyed! Please HMU if you wanna do some lactose intolerant raids. Buh bye.

  • While I totally understand your point and get where your coming from, your first part about traversing through the thrall and not being revived is stupid. Unless you are running the strategy where warlocks walk up much later than everyone else and revive everyone (which is cheesy) then if you die during the lamp run, then you are dead. Because going back or waiting around for the revive just does not work. If you cant make it through then be happy that someone on your team has done, and by the way there is absolutely nothing wrong or cheesy about using the invisible perk to get through the lamps. jumping on the rock at the end, yea is a bit cheesy, but not using invisibility through the thrall is dumb. The bridge part, yea, its been soooo long since I have that part legitimate. Only because everyone else wants to cheese it and get it down, it is far quicker and less effort. Dont get me wrong I actually really enjoy doing it the legitimate way, its way more intense
