What I learned after resetting my main char, after half a year of playing...

So yeah. Out of pure cosmetic reasons ( my Lock was an Exo, and the concept of a machine space wizard didn´t fit) I deleted my very first char (putting everything worthy in the vault, of course) and started my Space Wizardry adventures again, this time as an Awoken (A.K.A. Space Elves). This is what I realize after "starting" the game after playing since day.. ok, 3. - Cutscenes: DeeJ, Bungie has to implement a "skip cutscene" option at some point. I get how good they can be for developing the plot and showing how shiny and well designed, from a graphics perspective, the game can be. But for those of us who want to test new paths, create alt chars... or heck, for those times when the daily mission is the Black Garden, seeing the same scene completely kills the mood. Dozens of games let the players skip the cutscenes, so, why not Destiny? - The little changes since official launch: I honestly have to give Bungie props for some small but noticeable changes. For example, now I can choose from day 1 what subclass I want to run as, or even switch from one to another as I want to, not at lvl 15 or whatever when I "unlock" it. Thanks for this! Also, now we can have 10 bounties at a time, instead of the original 5 (which again, is amazing!), which leads me to... - Bounties: Oh, how I wish I had payed more attention to them in my first weeks. Leveling up the character, abilities and weapons is way easier. I haven´t put more than 6 hours into the new guy and he´s 18 already. - The earliest gameplay is thrilling... but never again: The earliest missions like the tutorial ones, with Vandals and Dregs coming out of ambush from unexpected corners while the music goes louder... that first wave of Thralls we encounter... But we never get that sort of tension and sense of fighting for our lafe ever again in the game, except for some sections of the raids. More sections like these could be great. - Customization: Running through the game again, I´ve equipped pieces of armor that I´ve honestly liked much, MUCH more than the end-game pieces. And how I wish that we culd change the visuals on different pieces of armor to have an unique, personalized style. I remember plating DCUO before Destiny launched and I took some pride in having a visual style that no one else in the game had. In Destiny we all look the same. DeeJ, wouldn´t it be possible to collect skins by dismantling other pieces, so we could attain max levels but still be able to look somehow different? Man, I´m storing some pieces in hope that this happens someday... - A wider tutorial needed?: So the basics of combat are pretty clear. But what about Motes of Light? R&D Materials? I remember first going through the game and getting some Spinmetal and completely forgetting about it, because there were no indications that it would ever come in handy. Or what about Factions? The game could have invited us to "take a tour through the tower" to visit them, the Quartermasters etc... - Different enemies need different combat mechanics: So a regular Captain has the same combat mechanics as an Archon Priest? Valus Ta´Aurc is just a beefed up Goliath? The dreadful Ir Yut, the Deathsinger, mistress of Oblivion and Harvester of Souls.... is just a Wizard with Blue shields? Bungie, c´mon. Put some effort into the meanies. Especially with upcoming DLC´s. OK, I´m gonna put an end to this now. Now, I know that you receive dozens of complaints a day, and that´s why I´ve tried to tone it down. Of course we, the playersd, might have little to no idea about how much development work some things take. However, Bungie needs to consider this: Many of us are burnt out. The endless repetition is taking the magic of the game away. Events like Iron Banner have failed to freshen the game (especially since, again, we hardly had any new bounties). Whatever Bungie does in the next 3-4 months, is going to determine how many of us stay playing this game. YOUR game. And if House of Wolves stays as short of content and novelty as Dark Below was... well, there won´t be many of us left after summer.
